Can you provide a full description of your system specs? That would be:
Processor
Video Card
RAM
Sound Card
If you don't know how to find these, run a program called "dxdiag" from the search function in the start menu.

Get All the Details on the Hardware Inside Your PC
www.pcworld.com/article/114741/answer_line_get_all_the_details_on_the_hardware_inside_your_pc.html
Very basic discussion of video cards, video chips, and even of laptops' limits:
social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/519461
Windows XP Minimum Specifications
OS: Windows XP with SP3
CPU: Intel Core 2 Single (or equivalent) running at 1.6Ghz or greater
AMD 64 (or equivalent) running at 2.0Ghz or greater
RAM: 1 GB or more
DVD ROM (Physical copy)
20 GB HD space
Video: ATI Radeon X850 256MB or greater (this is clearly wrong)
NVIDIA GeForce "6600 GT" 128MB or greater (and this one is more wrong)
(Note: IMO, the practical choices for the two video cards above should be the Radeon X800 Pro, and the Geforce 6800 GS, at least, for small textures - it will take a Radeon X1650 XT (or X1800 GTO) for medium or better textures)
INTEL'S GARBAGE (Graphics Chip) IS NOT SUPPORTED
P, S, Ignore any suggestion to rely on the SR Labs' web site's estimations. They are wrong so often that they are just a laughing stock all around the PC gaming forums.
If you expect to be learning more about the internals of your PC in order to take advantage of the benefits that the platform offers above consoles, and are just in a hurry now, the Game-o-Meter at YouGamers is literally a hundred times better than the System Requirements Lab is.

You still need to provide the information on your video card. In DXDiag, go to the "Display" tab and tell us what it says there.

From among all of the laptops now available, a smaller percentage than even 5% were designed to include the kind of video performance, particularly, that games such as this one require.

Given your (in my opinion) extreme reluctance to extend yourself in a measureable manner toward trying to understand what your PC is all about, it's my feeling that you should probably stick to console versions of games, avoiding those games exclusively offered on the PC platform. At the present, and for the foreseeable future, PCs simply lack the level of standardization that would be required for them to be used as appliances, and people with an interest in the flexible way that PCs allow games to be played (ie: with mods), must be willing to put in at least a modicum of personal effort.
Should my interpretation of your responses in this thread have been erroneous, I invite you to start from this article in beginning to become better prepared to take advantage of how far superior (IMO) games can be when played on PCs:

I did not say go to the control panel. Type "DXDiag" into the search function in the Start menu, click on the program that comes up, and then click on the "Display" tab, and tell us what it says there.

Do not waste time digging in the graveyard this way. There is a right way to write a problem report, and then there is everything else. Find that sticky, it says to Read First, do what it says, using a new message thread of your own.
