On My First Playthrough of ME1 I killed the Rachni Queen I regretted That and i never did it again because im a good guyPosted Image.
in ME2 i saved the collecter base thinking that the illusive would use it  for only  fighting the reapers and when he smiled at the hologram of the collecter base i said "Oh Sh*t* and i never made the decision again .

The first of my regrets was in ME1. On the feros mission you are given the chose to save the colonists, or kill them. I had every intention of saving them, i really did! but i was foolish and wasted all my grenades on the little creeper things.  So everytime i shot a colonist with my shotgun...i did feel bad...DEEP inside Posted Image

my biggest regret from ME2 would probably have to be accidently killing Kasumii. I didnt realise we HAD to have Tali so our ship could be fully upgraded.  I love you Kasumi!Posted Image

I like this story. Good post.

In terms of a decision I've regretted, I can't say that anything stands out. However that's probably because I have Shepards covering all eventualities.

It would probably resonate more with a player who only intends on playing each game once.

My problem, and I don't really consider it a problem, just an observation, is I have lots of Shepards also, but I have a really hard time, really hard time playing anything besides gray or paragon leanings.  I get very uncomfortable if I do a renegade to someone I don't personally think deserves it.  I did the renegade response to Mouse and I felt so bad I had to reload it.

I've lost crew and lost team members, I've fixed everything and only fixed a few things, I've sided with Jack sided with Miranda, but after losing the crew once, I do go after them immediately.  I missed Gabby when I went to engineering so I won't do it twice.

I felt terrible about dumping Thane when I found out Garrus was an LI. I was really happy that he was, but I actually laid awake in bed for an hour feeling like s*** that I treated a dying man that way.

--Having said that, I still did it. ;)

On my first play though of Samara's loyalty mission I didn't pay enough attention to the dialogue option and ended up choosing Morinth and had to watch Samara die. Couldn't reload fast enough!!

I had to kill a few of the colonist on Feros in a couple of games and then someone told me I could have just hit them.  AFter that, my other Shepards were more careful.  :)

I dunno, if I thought I was in the clear from the Reapers because of just capturing a base I'd smile too. Posted Image

Saving Ashley instead of Kaiden...

Yeah...the only time I did this was when I was playing a sentinel though and actually used Ashley. But I still don't like her. :/
Also choosing Morinth over Samara. I had to do it in one file to see what happened, but geez, Morinth is freaking creepy. And that decision never really made sense to me anyway. Why would you betray Samara when she's a powerful justicar who has already pledged loyalty to you?

To play devil's advocate here, choosing Morinth would make sense if you're a renegade Shepard that is likely to be stalked and killed by Samara after the mission is over. Samara does say that if you make her do anything bad, she'll hunt you down and kill you.

As for regrets, well, there was this one time when I manipulated Anoleis and Giavanni Parasini into killing each other whilst I got away scot free. I felt terrible about that so I reloaded and replayed.

Very similarly to the OP situation, I unfortunately was playing 'innocent' my first game and did not know what actions would have consequences. When my crew got taken by the Collectors, on my primary game, a Paragon Shepard, I did not rush to save them because I was unaware that rushing would make a difference.

This of course means I arrived at the Collector Base to find them all liquefied with the exception of Chakwas, who promptly yelled at me for being late. My thought at the time was 'bummer, I lose a bunch of crew mates during ME2.' I found this strange because I did not lose any squadmates due to my diligence in accomplishing every mission and luckily making the right choices during the Suicide Mission.

After the fact, when playing my second game and looking at sources online, I learned that you of course can save the crew. My second game was a Renegade run and yet everybody survives, while my Paragon run has almost my entire crew killed off. Not awesome. I regret this happenstance, but I'm not going to complain because a third Insanity run is also Paragon, and THIS time everybody on my ship survived.

I regret keeping Keiji's greybox for a lot of reasons. First, it's emotionally and psychologicaly better for Kasumi to deal with his death through mourning like the rest of us instead of fixating herself to a holographic projection. Secondly, it was Keiji's wish to protect Kasumi by destroying the greybox. If she wants to honor him, she should do as he wished. I kept the greybox because, oddly enough, it's a paragon choice, and I also can't help but being curious about the secret, perhaps it will be more than just a MaGuffin in the future. I really don't think it should have been a paragon choice, though.

Oh I forgot about that. Yeah, I really regret letting her keep the graybox on my canon play-through. I really shouldn't have. It just reeks of a bad decision, but I didn't have the heart to destroy it. I may rectify that and play over the file though.

Giving the base to Cerberus, it probably won't end beneficially after it's all said and done, but I've little other logical options.

*Massiv Spoiler!*

It doesn't matter in fakt. I'm reading the latest book, and it is about Ceberus experementing on Humans with Collector-Tech.
It is pretty wage about what happened to the base (of course :)) but in general: If you blow it up or not, does not matter Cerberus salvages it's Collector-Tech.

Not necessarily. There are other places they could have got Collector-Tech from. You had samples of it sitting around on the Normandy (ie: beam rifle, seeker swarm sample) for a long time, and it's quite likely some was left behind on Horizon. Not to mention Cerberus had a team crawling around in the inside of a Reaper for a long time.

After specifically going through ME1 yet again to craft an ultimate renegade Shep, I seriously regret saving the Racnai and not executing Shiala...

I mean, I specifically started the playthrough to do both of those and kill Wrex... yet when push came to shove I couldnt do anything and went through it nomally... I was so angry at myself.

Nope but I hate that sometime the game not allow to choose the "Paragon" or "Renegade" options because I didn't follow a pure "Paragon/ Renegade" path. I am a Paragade.

Without knowing Wrex will kill FIST at the end of that mission, I deeply regret on bring Wrex when my Paragon Shepard always trys to save and give another chance to whoever deserves one.

I was totally shock like Shepard when Wrex fired his shotgun lol

In some of my playthroughs (including the first I imported) I killed Helena Blake because I didn't believe she was totally honest about going straight cue second playthrough where she's a social worker on Omega. Like a punch to the gut.

I greatly regret messing up in my first playthrough of Virmire in one respect.

See, I had gone to epic lengths to make sure Wrex lived and then subsequently also making sure to save Ashley that I didn't remember to help Kirrahe's team. Hence, he died. The first time playing it I didn't realize that he didn't have to die, I thought it was like Nihlus, you know, a default death. Then I find out that he could have lived if I had put that extra effort in.

So I did end up saving my Brogan and my Hot Action Girl but the kickass Salarian I accidentally left to die. Pretty big mistake on my part.
