I don't care whether they have nudity or not so long as they write the scene accordingly. Really, bad underwear dry-humping is just...well...bad. As many have already said, it broke the moment. If they want to show the scene's leading up to sex and have the characters in (decent looking) underwear, I'm fine with that. If they want to show the sex suggestively but tastefully, I'm okay with that. I'm not okay with the weird awkward-looking hybrid the put together for DA:O. Yes, by the way, Mass Effect's was the best visual treatment of the subject so far.
This. What most of the "lol ur just desperit for sum action irl!!111" people seem to miss is that most of us aren't demanding to see more nudity. We just don't want the atmosphere of the scene utterly demolished by this ridiculousness. Some of us get into the story and the acting, and stuff like the granny undies just kills it.
Have the evil, scary nipples covered up by a strategically-placed arm or by a carefully-considered camera angle. It's not about seeing nudity, it's about NOT seeing such conspicuous self-censorship. If they can't or won't bring themselves to do that, then just do a fade-to-black.
I was glad to hear about the "better underwear," I guess, but the quality of the underwear was never the real problem. That's like, when someone complains about getting run over by a red truck, running them over with a green one and expecting them to thank you.
But like Mage One says, if they just want to show the "prelude," which includes the underwear in a logical manner, then fine. It never needs to get to the actual sex if the scene is irrelevant to the story (and contrary to some opinions I've actually heard voiced on this forum, sex scenes are not inherently irrelevant or gratuitous).
