I've played through DA:O three times and love it.  However, we've since been able to afford a second PS3, which we've set up in the 'study' (gameroom ;)), which is where I'll be doing most of my gaming, including Dragon Age 2 (the main PS3 is now for casual games/family games I play with my partner, PlayTV, Blu-Rays, music and other odds and ends).  I recently read that DA2 would import the DA:O save, but I'll be playing DA2 on the second PS3, and my DA:O saves are on the primary PS3, and are locked.  It'd be really cool to be able to import the way Ferelden was at the end of my DA:O game (presumably we'll be able to choose which save, rather than the game randomly picking one of my three finished playthroughs) - is there any way, or will any way be made possible, to transfer a DA:O save between PS3s?  If the saves are locked to user profiles, then it prevents people sneakily using other peoples saves to get easy trophies and the like, and other malarky, so that shouldn't be an issue (and is why most save files can be transferred).

They are system locked, not user locked. I think there is a transfer utility for when you upgrade PS3s. Consider trying that. I'm not sure if backing up and restoring will work. I want to say I read somewhere that it didn't. Could be wrong. Still worth a try!
