I like the idea of custom paint jobs for the SR2...

Maybe we could make it in the veign of ME2...where your crew is (evidently) completely incompetent *cough*Planet Scanning*cough*, and you'll use Kinnect to paint it yourself.

The SR2 was WAY too sterile...If it were real life, it would be the dentists office. Sure, you can dress it up with crappy wallpaper and lame posters about all you learned from life about your cat, but as soon as you see the 10 year old Highlights magazines and the lightbulb chair, there's no doubt as to where you are.

I can't imagine why stairs wouldn't work either.  It would definitely help in making the Normandy feel larger as well.....and also make it easier to implement the crew wandering around chatting to each other that I so desperately want.

Turbo Lift system? Too starwarsy.
Teleporter? Too doomy.
Vacum tubes? Too many crew deaths.

Stairs...?

If it is easy to access, the current size of ship is likely the max space we can have, larger room means more time to access to. Stairs back in SR1 is alittle bit not necessary though, I prefer elevator like SR2.

As above mention, you guys are missing one situation which is Council died and reinstated/rejected Spectre status. Will we have an option to have our own icon on ships' hull?
Nah, I think this goes way too far from option. But allowing people to have Spectre icon on the ship or even on the armour, that's going to make us really happy. :)

I suppose the number of future upgrades will greatly depends on whether Normandy have to deal with Reaper fleet face to face or not. Normandy will have NO CHANCE at all if she goes in by herself, if not, she still needs tons of upgrade in order to stand strong enough under Reaper's advance weapons.

May be.........an device which can create a black hole?

While this would be cool, the Reapers are masters of the tech that can resist the effects of a blackhole. Maybe have something akin to the Death Star Superlaser installed. Yes, more powerful than the Thanix lol.

I want a candy colored Normandy that changes color as the light hits it!

But seriously I like the idea of the paint coordinating with the choices you've made BW done pretty well with the color schemes chosen so I think they'll do fine this time

Scrap off the Cerberus logos, swap the Cerberus uniforms for Alliance uniforms, repaint the Normandy to look like the original Normandy's interrior, and have speakers all over the place constantly playing this track on repeat.

I dont think there were many pre-rendered scenes in ME1.

Not as many as in ME2, that's for sure. From what I can recall the following scenes were pre-renders:

- Outside shots of the opening Normandy sequence.
- The Mass Relay transition and loading cinematics.
- Shepard's visions.
- First Sovereign flyby.
- External shots of first Citadel arrival (up until docking sequence).
- Normandy leaving Virmire as the bomb goes off.
- Sovereign and The Geth attacking The Citadel battle scenes.

And I think that's about it. There may be a couple I've missed.

I really want an ability to go around blowing up geth ships or something allowing you to play with the firepower on the Normandy.

Ready! Aim! Fire! That would be awesome indeed.

i'm thinking something along the lines of the eclipse for the SR3, in terms of size.

there will be no problem on having not enough room for squadmates

Indeed! But it might be a tad too big for stealth ops.

paint it pitch black then strategically place lights around the hull that can pass as distant stars so it can decieve one's eyes (though it will be easy to see if something like a planet or close star was right behind it.) then add the stealth engines of the other versions of the SR and it should be fine

stealth isn't in my description anyway... i tend to go in with big guns blazing and trust that i'll be able to deal more damage faster and trust that my armor can widthstand the enemy attacks... a strategy that is on the far opposite of the spectrum compared to stealth:ph34r:

Well, I see your point......destroyers never had to be subtle before.

I was disappointed the Normandy was "resurrected" in ME2. I had moved on (which really was not very hard), had no special attachment to a hunk of metal. I was also hoping the game creators would avoid the trap of just repeating themselves. There was certainly enough from one game to the next to tie it all up together (characters, alien races, the Citadel, etc.) It doesn't even make much sense for Cerberus to not only recreate the same vessel, but make it look virtually identical to boot. Silly.

But I can't argue with fan service.

Ideally, I'd like the ship to be pitch black w/ a small Spectre logo on the side. Put the stairs back in, (gives the ship more style and the appearance of being larger), switch back to the SR1 lighting or something similar (SR2 lighting is too harsh), get rid of the Cerberus uniforms, (something closer to Alliance), Human Holographic EDI that can wander around the ship, Secure Com room link to Shadow Broker Base and a bigger bar. I'll settle for getting that Cerberus logo off the hull.

New ship altogether... make things interesting. EDI = illegal (based on hologram alone), so the Alliance takes it and decommissions for parts and research, thus setting the stage for an improved SR3 model later in the game (maybe). In the meantime, Shepard is given prototype salarian and/or asari designed ship by the Council, one they've been working on in anticipation of the reaper threat... which they've kept hush to avoid panic. This time, we get a true "multiracial" ship crew, consisting of all council races and even a few krogan security guards. I think I'd like that...

I think we should keep the SR2, I liked it. But it should shed it's Cerberus design, and everyone should wear Shadow Broker Uniforms instead of the Cerberus ones. And I wouldn't mind getting to fly in other Space ships as well, if the Destiny Ascension survived maybe we could go for a ride in it.

Yeah if they'r going to make us able to paint the normandy then PINK will have to be banned from being among the colors.

Theres enough morons with pink armor for male shep on youtube to warrant a mass purge of all life... (seriously) Please dont add to it by making people able to make the normandy pink.

No new Normandy. But a Normandy SR-2 with upgrades would be fine. Outfitted with Collector particle beam weapons on all sides.

With the invention/discovery of the magnetohydrodynamic cannon (MHD), the paridigm of dreadnought dominated combat is over, unless radical upgrades are made to kinetic barriers. Based on the images of the Thanix cannon during the Collector battle, the cannon continues to push the Thanix round even after having left the mouth of the cannon. This means that a MHD round is no longer dependant on a kilometer-plus length spinal gun, and the huge size of a dreadnought is now a liability, as much smaller, more manouverable ships are able to punch through the barriers that protect it.

What would be nice is if we can get a modified dreadnought, equipped with MHD weapons, that can serve as a sort of home base, then use the Normandy to travel to different systems. That way we get the best of both worlds. An incredibly powerful flagship, designed to battle it out with the reapers, and lead a fleet in defense of the galaxy, and the stealth and agility of the Normandy, that allows us to recon and otherwise act in secret.
