We won't know for certain if it's a lose end until we play the second. But yeah- I get you point.

2. I don't want any deus ex machina endings out the blue
3. I don't want them ignoring Battleaxes again.

I'm not at all worried about the story. I am worried the the graphics style won't let me forget them and will break immersion. I'm also worried that a voiced PC will be alienating in terms of roleplay and very third person in that I will be surprised by my own words (something I've found in every other game with a voiced protagonist.) I'm worried that combat will be over the top enough to make me feel like I'm not playing a normal human being. I know what you're saying about the plot, but I really have no doubt that David Gaider, et al, will be able to make it compelling. And whole the blight provided the framework and the urgency, it was the more personal quests that really had meaning for me. I'm less convinced about the device of the framed narrative, but I have no problem with the idea of trying such a thing.Mr. Man wrote...
After lumbering through these forums, I've read a few posts that really seem quite angry with the direction that Dragon Age 2 is taking. I'm curious, even if your excited for the game, is there anything that you're either worried about or don't want to see happen in the second installment. I personally, am worried about Hawke, I simply don't know much about him and I'm worried the scope of the story would be underwhelming compared to DA:O. But thats just me.

2. I hope to god I won't need to metagame my behavior with some characters for a better ending or something with the new rivalry system.
3. I don't want to sit there and feel like some import lines are forced.

BioWare's only other games with a voiced protagonist did this repeatedly throughout. I don't want to see any of that in DA2.

I don't want Hawke ever to do something I wasn't expecting him to do. I don't want him to break character. I don't want him to act without my input.

This too. Although I hope that the icon system will help.

I don't want the game to be very different from Origins. I want to read the boards after it releases and listen to people who jumped to conclusions on every little thing admit that they were wrong and reactionary. That would be the sweetest DA2 victory I could enjoy.
You've never been on the internet, people are NEVER wrong!

I really hate the writers for doing this ...like were watching some hbo sitcom or something. Just tell me morigan walked off a cliff that was strategicly placed on the other side of that portal by sandal and landed on flemeth's hut and shes dead.

Edit: I want to encounter more humans/elves/dwarves than darkspawn. I would rather encounter more wildlife than darkspawn on the surface.
I think they said this is the case for DA2 anyway.

After DAO my hopes for DA2 companions are high. So far, Varric seems to deliver.
I don't want scenes with a lot of action not to feature my PC. I was a bit disappointed that my Cousland wasn't shown cutting down darkspawn during the charge at Denerim's gates. Little things like that would make me jump in joy. I hope now that Hawke is voiced and is a central character, some action scenes will be focused on him/her.
