What do you not want to happen in DA2?

2) Bethany does not die, I am so freaking tired of family members dying.
3) The loose ends with morrigan made me want to sink a boat full of kittens. It was so annoying and considering how interesting Morrigan was as a character it was very annoying to not know very much about her motivations and such.

But really...
Well I don't care, they're making the game and I loved the last one so I think they got this.

I dont mind the Heroic Scrifice style endings but they have to be done right unlike what was featured at the end of Origins. That being said it brings me onto my next point, I dont want to see tough choices ruined with a third "everybody lives happily ever after" option.

Wow, let me get this strait? you don't want a vioced protagonist? That is one thing I'm really looking forward to.
Yes as Silvius said earlier in the thread there are many of us who do not want a voiced protagonist, I know shocking isnt it? Not everybody likes the same things you do. While we are on the subject I dont want a dialogue wheel with paraphased lines or a predefined main character either but hey I guess there is nothing that can be done about that now.

This. I don't mind a third option, as long as they haven't just set up a difficult moral dilemma for you to get engrossed in and then suddenly pull out an option which gives you all the pros and none of the cons, which kinda defeats the point of setting up a moral dilemma in the first place.
Basically, I don't have a problem with breaking the curse in Nature of the Beast because it's a sensible choice and you haven't had a moral dilemma presented right in front of you - you just talk to the werewolves, they persuade you to go get Zathrian and it leads on naturally. I have a problem with the Redcliffe decision because it gives you a brilliant choice between killing the child or sacrificing the mother in a dark ritual, and then offering a third choice which completely negates that and cheapens picking either of the first two options.
Anyhoo, aside from that I don't want to see many dungeon crawls. They could be fun (Dead Trenches is one of my favourite areas in DA:O), but when you were just repeating the same tactics over and over in nearly every fight they could really get tedious.
Wow, I really had a lot on my chest there

I really wouldnt worry about that as it seems that Bioware doesnt share our view on what an RPG should be however I do resent the implication in your post that our opinions are invalid and we should just shut up and like what ever Bioware squeezes from their sphincter.
DO NOT QUESTION THE BIOWARE AS THEY KNOW BETTER THAN YOU.
Now I dont know about you but I will form my own opinion on whether or not I think a game is good. If Bioware does not share that view then fine, they will make the game they want to make not the game I want them to make, I know that and I can only suggest and offer my feedback on how I think their product is shaping up, if the finsihed product is something that does not appeal to me then I wont buy it, that is all I can do as a potential customer.
I know there are many people who like the new direction of DA2 and that is fine, if I am not a part of the target audience then so be it however I hate the implication that "Bioware knows best and I should like what they tell me to like" as this is an absolute farce.
Besides how can Bioware get accurate feeback if they are surrounded by a bunch of yes men?

Feedback is great, I just don't like people complaining. There is a massive difference. So go ahead and tell them what you like, it's your right as a consumer. But there is no need to get ****y about it. That's all I'm trying to say.

I don't want Bioware to deviate from that particular line of thinking.
I don't want a "hybrid" Dragon Age game, that's what Mass Effect is for.
I do realise however, that my fears in that area are unlikely to be alleviated until very near release at best. (Thrice-cursed marketing departments....)

I know there are a lot of fans out there who do make rather unreasonable suggestions but I would like to think that most people out there are smart enough to know what they like and know what they want from a game.
I am sorry if my post came off a little hostile but I am kind of sick of the "Bioware knows best and we should not question them" mentality of some of the fans on these forums.

fair enough, but the console players fans that like the new direction are also taking on a lot of heat just for liking it to the point of being called immature children who are inferior and don't know any better.
let's all just try to get along, post our constructive criticisms and feedback, and move on:police:

No long sequences in the Fade. I hate that part of the Tower of Magi quest. The Fade was so boring.
I agree completely, the fade sections of DA:O were by far my least faviorite. I always felt claustrophopic and dizzy when playing them. In the second, I hope the fade continues to have it's rightful place in the lore, but I really would rather not play in it.

This. I just finished AC2 a couple weeks ago and was like, "WTF?!" Then Desmond said the exact same thing, which made me laugh so much.
On topic, I don't want the story to "stand alone." I have faith in the devs, but I really do want to see a world shaped by previous actions, at least more than ME2 (which is really a rarity for consoles this gen...)

Obsidian isn't in charge of the sequel this time.
On a more serious note, an end to the repetitive dungeon crawls would be nice. The best areas of the Deep Roads were the ones that varied things up, like the Dead Trenches (even after multiple viewings that's still a ****ing incredible entrance to it).
I'd also like to seem them break away from the more minor "BioWare tropes", so to speak. DA:O and ME2 did a good job at deviating from the formula of KotOR and Jade Empire, I'd also like that to extend to some others that tend to pop up a lot, such as whiny male leads (I'm lookin' at you, Carth and Kaidan). I am excited to see how the framed narrative changes things up as well.
Oh, and I don't want to see any sign of the Morrigan, either - she's with the Warden, damnit. If they show up at all, make it a credits stinger to send us in a tizzy of speculation for DA3.

I don't want important details overlooked, such as having the blood mage spec and no one seems to notice or care that the hero of ferelden is a scary bloodmage...or returning dwarf prince but revert to standard convo like I hadnt ever fought in a proving when I won one in my origin.
Whole game we hear about blood mages, but when you become one of them - nobody cares. I still cannot believe this.
I don't want (more than I don't want anything else) the goddamn: do the intro and have story completely spoiled
Bioware, I know you like it, but please don't do it.

This. This kind of ending is both cliched and overused IMO. Who, in their right mothereffing mind, would "sacrafice" themselves when an obvious out is put in front of you that would not only save you, but others in the process? It's not "noble" when you die and could have avoided it, it's just plain stupid. (making reference to the US choice in Origins of course lol.)

hmm yeah, but idk, how you would get out, have abit dark and suspious........ if you get what I mean. If you don't want to sacrafice anyone, but I think that option might of bitten someone in the a(**, if bioware had continued origins
