In D.A. Awakening, I have noticed that Anders reminds me of Alistair in the way he looks and speaks. (yes... even when he speaks, he sounds a bit like Alistair too.... well to me at least) Maybe he's a cousin, twice removed.:P
Anyone else notice this..... or is it just me?

Anyway..... he picked up a cute little kitty recently, named "Sir-Pounce-Alot."
My question is.... what exactly does it do, or is supposed to do?
Its item description suggests that it has a unique power. So I stick it in a skill slot on Anders skill bar, click on it, then with a quidk wave of his arms...... NOTHING! Absolutely NOTHING whatsoever!
What a complete and utter useless little item this!! That is unless it's only supposed to do something later on.

Soooo..... what EXACTLY..... is this little kittly item (Sir-Pounce-Alot) supposed to do then!?
I would really love to know! Can someone tell me please??

He talks to it when you use it. Doesn't give any powers or anything.

Actually, he revives all fallen party members as long as Anders is alive to use him. They come back with low health, so you have to health poultice them up right away.

It revives all dead companions if used in battle. I am serious.

EDIT: I don't think Anders is even necessary, you can use Ser Pounce a Lot without Anders. On 360 at least.

Nothing except make Anders coo over the cat when you click on it. And yes, Anders does share some similarities with Alistair. I'm currently playing DAA and have Anders as a Battlemage so he's wearing armor vs robes. I can't tell you how many times I've seen him fighting and thought, "Oh, there's my wonderful Alistair!" only to be reminded that no, my Alistair is no where to be found.

Edit to say... wow!  I never knew the cat would revive ppl!  Very cool. :)

Anders is a more than acceptable replacement for some of us.

@KoP I was going to ask about that. I've never stuck Pounce on anyone else's taskbar, so I've never thought to try. It makes sense, though.

Yep, it works the same on PC. I just keep it in inventory and use it from there.

Huh. I played all of Awakening without knowing that. He revived them spontaneously a few times, very handy in that drake fight, and I thought that was it.

Embarrassingly enough, it's just Anders' morph in place of Alistair. So a literal replacement (and that kiss is a mod, too).

Ah yes.... wonderful Alistair indeed! Not to mention..... so handsome and lovely too.B)
I know I can't be the only person to have played this game, to be attracted to him.
Wonder how many others out there too.:P

Yes! It's very cool indeed! I never knew it had this very handy little ability either..... til now.
I just GOT.... to try that next time one of my companions dies in the heat of battle.

However, with Anders as a Battlemage, I think he already has some type of skill which revives companions if they die. (i use him as a healer too) BUT.... I think the little kitty (Ser Pounce Alot) revives ALL.... who die and not just 1, which can be very handy indeed!

Aww! Cute pic! And cool mod too.:)
Btw... that woman on the right, looks a bit like Morrigan to me. But it's not very clear with the way her head is turned. I got to say though..... in my personal view, neither Alistair nor Anders would make a very good match with Morrigan. (at least not in a romantically and sexually involved kind of a way anyway) Bad idea! Bad idea indeed!:P

I agree! Fortunately, that's not Morrigan- it's my PC, Brand. Brand just borrowed Morrigan's hair for the Blight.

Aw, I was hoping you were gonna use the "pervstache" shot to showcase Brand.

Wow! Your pc, Brand certainly bares a lot of similarities with Morrigan doesn't she?
There's another cousin.... also twice removed then.:P
You must really like Morrigan to make a char with impressive similarities like that.:)
Good job she wasn't the.... ACTUAL Morrigan though. That would have been quite a disaster.:P
I'm sure you're Brand char has a nicer personality as a much more nicer match for Alistair than Morrigan does.:)

Yes, Anders is not only a decent replacement for Alistair, but a far better one for Wynne. Too bad he can't be imported to Origins.

I think he was referring to a Templar, not a Darkspawn.
