I've listened to them all. I love info like this.

Something that puzzled me is the following: In podcast #1 we were told that the player's action would shape the world. I had the feeling that this would be on a more larger scale than what we've seen in ME1/ME2. in which the impact was merely cosmetic (dialogue line changes, e-mails to the Normandy or at best a cameo). That podcast gave me the impression that it was more than cosmetic for DA2. After listening to podcast #4 the feeling that it will be cosmetic again came back. Mr Gaider said that changes could be mentioned in conversations or you could meet someone from an earlier period. And when talking about the elves he said that not all changes could be accounted for. If something disappeared there would be a replacement, but there are limits to what can be done. In one of my games these elves were slaughtered, so I expect those to be gone. I rather would not see those elves at all, instead of seeing them back with some weird rationalization about how some of them managed to escape. That would be odd, because all them died. I did a body count. Ghehe. So I am bit worried we still get the ME2 treatment. ;)

I don't know how cosmetic the imported decisions will be but the elves he was talking about in DA2 are the clan that the Dalish Warden comes from. Which is a different clan than Zathrian's and therefore can't be wiped out in the first game. So no worries there.

Huh, this makes me think that my mage characters' boon of setting the Ferelden circle free surely has some kind of consequences in DA2. Also, Hawk's like, her cousin or something. Cool and kind of weird.

The elves that had a problem with the werewolves were mentioned in a hypothetical situation (at 4:10). Sometime later the elves were mentioned again (at 8:35, without the previous context, but both were called the Dalish Elves) and again hypothetical. I was paying attention to those two examples. So, I still remain a bit skeptical here. That doesn't mean that I think the game will be bad. Don't get me wrong. ;)

Thanks for the podcast - interesting perspectives on the game creation process and writing in particular. As a fanfic writer I apologize to Mr. Gaider for playing with his toys - but they are such marvelous toys I just can't stay away (runs off with Zevran).

It sounds like companion interactions will be a vital part of DA2, perhaps even more so than in DA:O. This makes me even more excited for the game - character development through the lens of my companions made DA:O for me. The quests were fun and had some difficult decisions, but balancing those decisions with the friendship (or not) each of my characters had with each companion added a much deeper aspect to the game.

I Had a question about helping lord dace down and the we choose to presuade him a favor for a favor he tells us any of the surface dawarf loyal to the dace family will sell you items at a discount. when I first got the game arhen the surface dawarf outside ozamar had stuff to sell me as a warden. I wanted to know if the interaction with the surface dawarfs the stuff we sold them will be found in da2 for sale buy that merchant or others he has traded with?
