As for everyone else, you still have about 13 hours and 17 minutes until the contest ends. Plenty of time to do a submission.

This is the easiest contest I ever had to judge. As The Fred was the only one who entered, he is the winner. I regret now asking for the screenshots as it would have been great to have more brushes from him. Perhaps after he plays through PST, he may feel like adding a few more.
In any case, I looked at your brushes in the toolset to make sure they work. So your entry is valid and you are the winner! Congratulations!
Here are the screenshots for those of you who may consider using the Multibrush to paint an area in a matter of minutes. All you have to do is import The Fred's brushes. I will put them on the vault later and contact The Fred about collecting his prize.

@ Fred: By the way, if you made custom Day/Night settings for these brushes, please export them and send them to me the same way. I can include them in the vault submission.

And to the rest of you?
You can't win if you don't play. Thanks for checking out the contest, though. There will be more brushes up soon as well.
best regards

And no, I didn't really make custom day/night settings, I just changed the angle of the sun on the shiny gold one and the plaza one to improve the specular reflections a bit, and upped the intesity a tad. I reckon at sunset and sunrise you would have quite a nice effect, anyway, but I just wanted a customised angle for the screenshots.
And yes, the Multibrush takes a bit of getting used to, but it *does* make painting large swathes really easy. I'd never used it before and I actually quite like some of the effects you can do with it (OK, maybe the Autumnal Woods brush is a bit lame, but I'm reasonably proud of the others given my past experience of 0).

Quite surprising if you ask me. The trick, which you now "understand/get" is that you need to really try it to believe it is worth it. The contest was designed to get a decent number of people to at least try it so that they could "see the light" so to speak. Open a few more eyes. I am disappointed that we didn't open a lot of eyes but I'm glad we opened at least one set of eyes (yours).
But that is just life. People don't understand the benefits of the Multibrush the same way non-NWN people rarely "get" the benefits of NWN1/2 which is the toolset etc.
Anyways, we won't extend the contest. You won the prize fair and square. That is the most important thing. And you earned it. So enjoy it!
I'm sending you a PM right now about collecting your prize.

I currently lack time. Brushes can always be contributed later though. The Fred wrote...
Wow. You mean nobody else submitted even a single brush? I guess the thought of making 18 brushes *is* kind of daunting, but nothing ventured, nothing gained, I guess... Are you guys sure you don't want to extend the contest for a couple of days, at least to get a few more brushes for the download pack?

Yeah, I haven't really bothered using plugins much yet, so it's probably something I should look into (I still mean to try out YATT, for example) but this was nice. It's pretty good for painting large areas, though picking out bits still needs a bit of attention.
Check your PMs.

Download them and give them a try. Instructions on how to use these brushes are very simple (it is in the Decription on the vault page).
@ The Fred: About your Autumnal brush. It is good and needed because the most commonly painted terrain by any author would be the Rural type terrain. So it is good that you did that one.
If we got a forest brush as well, we would have the two most common types of terrain covered.

When I get my computer healed, I will be posting some brushes fairly soon afterwards -- lots of 'em.
