The NeverWinter Citadel Project and GOG.com are pleased to announce:
The Multibrush Contest!
Created by SilentStatic (aka: NightStalker from the legacy forums)
The Multibrush is a Plugin for NWN2's Toolset.
The Prize:
That’s right folks. We have managed to swing a copy of Planescape: Torment from the Good Ole’ Guys at Good Old Games (www.gog.com). They have agreed to supply a Gift Code redeemable at their site to the winner of the Multibrush Invitational (more on the contest later as we’re sure everyone is more interested in learning about the prize).
The winner will be given a code, which is redeemable at GOG.com to download a copy of Planescape: Torment, free of charge! We encourage you all to visit their site to learn more about their operation. All games downloaded from GOG.com are DRM free and adjusted to run on the latest Operating Systems. What’s more, you can download it multiple times and install it on any computer that you own!
The Contest:
The Magical Paintbrush (otherwise known as the Multibrush) is an NWN2 plugin that allows you to paint numerous textures down in an area at once. The brush combines the textures at varying pressures and levels of coverage determined by the end user. So you can in fact, paint an area quickly and easily as all the texture blending is done for you.
You can also add color and grass to the brush and paint everything at once.
The question most of you are probably asking yourselves is “How long would this take me to do”? Let me put it this way, if you know what textures you want plus how much coverage and pressure they should have, you can create a brush in under a minute.
Here are the features:
- Paint up to 8 textures (with individual coverage and pressure). 6 of the textures can be unique.
- Paint Grass (up to 3 styles) with settings for density, coverage and variation.
- Paint Colour with its own pressure and coverage.
- Save your brush settings for a later time to reuse or share with others.
- Eye drop tool to determine which textures a tile uses with a single check.
Those who choose to compete in the contest can submit brushes to be judged. The winner is the one who earns the most points. See the rules for more information.
The main thread which contains all the contest details can be found here (in the Toolset forums):
