Now first off, I
have not played for a while,

I am doing
my 2nd play through for Mass Effect 2 on Impossible Difficulty.

I am currently
level 25 solider classes and have complete all of the Loyalty Mission for all squad
mates.

Here is the
tricky part; all of their abilities are helpful in their own way.

But I can’t
decide which is suite for me the most.

So I narrow down
with my final two options.

There are: Jack's Warp Ammo & Morinth's
Dominate.

I never actually use any of the Advanced
Training on my first play through.

However, I understand how most of them work.

For example, Warp Ammo does **** load of
damage & Dominate control enemy to fight for you.

I pretty much take much only Miranda and
Legion since they are very helpful in any situation.
Therefore, taking care of any bio/tech
enemies.

Back to the Advanced Training, I am deciding
either Jack's Warp Ammo & Morinth's Dominate.

Please give me any pros and cons &
suggest on how to use them in a full potential.

Thank you all!

Warp ammo effects barriers, armor and health by providing a bonus to weapon damage.

Dominate works only on an enemy that has been stripped of all protection, for a brief moment all their friends will shoot at them.

Do you want to increase the amount of damage you do significantly (warp ammo), or do you want to remember to stop killing someone just before they die, use a power and suffer a cooldown to make their friends turn away from shooting at you for maybe one or two seconds.

if you are soldier forget other ammo powers,
inferno ammo deals massive damage and incaps foes for short amount of time
squad disruptor is only perfect against geth
cryo (1point) does well against husks with slam

i'd go with dominate because you gain 3rd temporal squadmate that gets all the fire so he does some of the job for you :) the only con is when you want to max out bonus power, you have to forget about concussive shot or other power you dont want to use

Inferno isn't all that good vs. Barriers though, and there are some enemies with really hefty ones. (Harbinger, Praetorians.) Warp Ammo on your Assault Rifle or Shotgun will shine in those instances.

Dominate is too situational for me - it only works on organics, is very short unless you sink points into it, and putting points in gives the enemy you take control of a shield, making it take longer to kill him later. Besides, every cooldown you are wasting on dominate, you are NOT using AR and laying waste to everything around you.

AR makes you kill things faster and keeps you alive, Dominate makes it take longer to kill things. It's no contest for me - get warp ammo.

in LotSB warp ammo is more helpful vs. the spectre, with her high barrier lvl. otherwise is there a more direct way to deal with a barrier? I don't put points in concussive shot anymore and it's low damage even the heavy lvl4 is not enough for my style of play, it probably the most troublesome protection on insanity.

dominate is too situational for me and I've always saved Samara, plus Area Reave is a better bonus power too.

Concussive Shot is the worst power of ME2 (on Shepard). Why would someone ever use it while you can (almost) use AR two times in the same time? Points in CS are a waste.

Warp Ammo is the only ammo that has an effect against barriers, you'll do exactly the same amount of damage with no ammo power against barriers, both Inferno and Disruptor ammo are useless here. SG and AR (and SMG) receive massive bonus against barriers without ammo powers, they perform very well without ammo powers. Warp Ammo is only worthwhile on Collector missions.

Dominate is too situational for me - it only works on organics, is very short unless you sink points into it, and putting points in gives the enemy you take control of a shield, making it take longer to kill him later. If you opt for pure killing speed there isn't a better power than AR. If you like watching enemies tear each other apart, Dominate is the way to go. It offers some priceless moments: ME2 - Master of Puppets

I'm not big on any damage-oriented ammo power because of the fact that they have diminishing returns the more upgrades you get. I'm therefore running around with Neural Shock on my current Soldier.

That's great if you're an Engineer, or possibly an Infiltrator... However, it seems strange to me for a combat class - especially one with the sheer killing power of the soldier - to want to waste time pitting enemies against each other rather than wading through their corpses... but that's just me.

The general idea of Dominate and AI Hacking is distraction. Basically, you take over an enemy so that they can distract other enemies. This gives you free time to take out other enemies. Keeping it at Level 2 or 3 gives you a nice balance between giving your puppet enough protection to be a serious threat to enemies, and keeping them weak enough to kill easily later. And as long as enemies are firing at them and not you, you can do what you like to them.

Also, the ability can be spammed. Level 2 of both skills has a duration longer than it's recharge time, so once a target turns towards you, you can immediately use it again to refresh their protection and keep working as a distraction.

Besides, in a game where you have to do most of the work, a power that makes your enemies work for you is a nice break.

i gave up on convicing warm ammo is useless for a soldier because others just tell it's true way lol
no one notices assault rifle takes down barriers quickly even with disruptor or inferno xD
althought ive finished the game 15 times on insanity as a soldier >.< that's why ive quit the discussion

I don't play Soldier, but if I did, I'd take rank one Flashbang Grenade as my talent.

If you're going with ammo powers you want something that buffs the weaknesses of your weapon, or buffs the strengths so much the weaknesses don't matter.

Shredder ammo does neither. It buffs health damage. Warp, Fire, AP, and in a way Cryo ammo all do that and have other uses.

It's commonly considered that using squad cryo on your team is best, while you run with something else.

Arguments go back and forth as to what the something else should be. But if you look at your weapons stats you should be able to figure out which one will work best for you and the current mission. Just decide if you want to make up for what your weapon of choice lacks, or if you want to overpower a feature. Either way, it will work well as you can finish Insanity without any ammo powers at all.

Another vote for Rank 1 Flashbang,  it doesn't require a significant investment meaning you can max out all of your other powers (except a certain useless power) and can come in handy in some situations like Harbinger.
