Does anyone know how the NPC kitpack adventurer compares to the song and silence one, particularly in regard to Nalia and Imoen?

Best thing would be for you to decide:
NPC Kitpack:
"Advantages:
- +20% to Open Locks and Find/Remove Traps
Disadvantages:
- No backstab multiplier"
Song & Silence:
"Advantages:
- +5% to Open Locks and Find/Remove Traps every other level
Disadvantages:
- No backstab multiplier"
So the Song & Silence kit wins it for me, unless of course you're keeping Nalia's thieving levels at 4 (is it 4?) then the NPC Kitpack version would be better suited for her. Imoen gets 20% either way since she's dualled at level 7. I'd probably recommend using the Level 1 NPCs mod to kit Nalia into a pure thief then dual her when needed.

Thanks for the info. That was what I thought.
As a result of that info I'm wanting to keep Nalia dualled at level 4, preferably as with the NPC Kitpack.
Unfortunately the Song and Silence mod has overwritten the NPC Kitpack version.
So what is the best way to get her back to the kitpack version without changing anything else?

Err maybe reinstall the component on the NPC Fixpack last?
If you're open to Nalia suggestions I'd recommend Swashbuckler/Mage, or Sharpshooter dualled to Mage.

With NPC Kits you can actually have two kits simultaneously.
I am thinking of having an Adventurer/Illusionist or an Adventurer/Conjurer.
Adventurer as I only want her for opening chests etc.
Specialist mage for the extra spells.
I'm not too familiar with specialist mages at high levels so would appreciate suggestions at to type of mage..

I think most people agree with Conjurer as the best specialist mage.

OK I'll try that.
One other point. Shadowkeeper will not allow two kits simultaneously. I thought that was because of the game engine.
Perhaps I am wrong about that.
Have these mods found a work round.
As far as role playing is concerned I see no problem.
NPC kits explains perfectly why she would only have the thieving skills of an adventurer.
Then when she was taught her mage skills, she could have been taught by a conjurer for example, and thus never have developed ther skills. (Either that or she has an ineptitude concerning certain schools of magic)
