So after Lothering, I decided to go and get the Redcliffe storyline and fought the battle in the night and I know that pretty soon, I can learn the blood mage specialization for my character. My projected party by the end of the game is as follows:

Main (spirit healer/blood mage)
Morrigan (shapeshifter/blood mage?)
Alistair (templar, champion)
Leliana or another rogue (duelist/bard)

I have a couple questions involving my character specializations. My Main is lvl 8 and I wanted to make my main a spirit healer first and then later a blood mage because he is my primary healer. The problem is that the spirit healer item I would need is in Denerim for I'm assuming 15 gold, which is about twice as much money as I have right now. Should I take the blood mage specialization and worry about spirit healer later or is it going to be a lot more difficult relying on the heal spell and poultices? Also, can I just not approach the demon and come back when I hit level 14?
