No. I don't hate any character, not even Flemeth or Arl Howe. I'm over the moon Morrigan will return at some stage.

I think if I wrote a random letter generator, it would produce a better article regarding DA2 than anything we've seen so far.

Dragon Age 2 will move the time frame ahead by ten years, telling the story of Hawke, a survivor of the destruction of Lothering who then goes on to become Champion of Cornwall and one of the most important players in the world.

DAII is set in Cornwall?!!?

I hated her because she went against everything my good character stood for. So he chucked her out of the party and stripped her of her clothes. Having someone to hate in a game like DA:O is expected though. Although, I am more interested in Flemeth than Morrigan.
:D

Okay forget the whole atheism vs. Christianity thing...THIS is now our most fundamental difference of opinion. :P

Anyway, I don't think that necessarily means Morrigan will be in DA2. They just said her story wasn't done, not that it continues in DA2. I'm starting to think that DA3 will be about this war upon the brink of which the world is going to be resting at the end of DA2, and that would be a perfect place for Morrigan (and the Warden *crosses fingers*) to return from their mysterious world-beyond-the-fade, her full plans finally revealed and come to fruition.

And LOL @ Champion of Cornwall. Presumably he acquires that by gaining a monopoly on pasty production and retail.

I wonder what that means for the people who decided to wound her in the witch hunt DLC. Will she be there enemy? Perhaps by then she will be more powerful.

Nope, she's dead. Also her baby never happened, anyway.
(Yeah, I know, I smell a big fat retcon handwave).

That would actually be really cool. The thought of having her as an enemy is pretty chilling. Up until now, all we've seen is friendliness/love or indifference, really. I wonder what it would be like to have that power directed against you maliciously.

I believe DA3 will make you play as Morrigan's son or daughter, quite open for customization after all.
This makes me wonder about what Morrigan said about the child representing freedom for an ancient power.
Warden starts the events, Hawke shifts the events (+ new ones) into full motion, Child hunts them down.
Wild speculation on my part, relates to topic however.

The Fade I am not looking forward to in DA2. A ghostly spiritual realm with depressed spirits is not my cup of tea.
However I'll probably be forced into it for one reason or another. Damn I hated that place in DA:O, so much.

Actually Morrigan's baby is a boy, confirmed in Witch Hunt. It's possible of course, but I can only imagine the outrage not being able to choose race *or* gender would cause. I do hope they can figure out a way for the GodBaby to have a huge role while still providing an alternative storyline for those who didn't make one that isn't prohibitively expensive.

As for the Fade, I think it depends on how they do it. I really liked the visuals, and the surreal look of it (floating furniture and whatnot), but it got pretty monotonous, especially the sloth demon puzzle part, having to go back and forth between all the different areas.

Also I actually liked the fade (nice change of pace) and strongly disliked (if not downright hated) Morrigan.

Just saying, because this thread was getting a little too consensual.

Also I support multiplayer in future titles, faster-paced combat, and a voiced protagonist.

They could always change the fact that the baby was a boy, just need one dev saying "changed." :bandit:
Godbaby looks like an interesting character that I dont want to see ruined with some evil, typical twist on him.
Which would probably happen *sighs* I miss the old rpgs when sometimes the evil guys helped the good guys.

Visuals and what not had a sleepy effect on me when playing through the Fade.
Monotonous is a pretty apt description of how the actual quest areas went down.
Overall, in DA2, if I have the chance to skip the fade? "I'd do it by any means possible."

I glanced over the quote...but...
He said her story won't end...But didn't say it was going to be in the sequel?

I hope she is though, but what if your Warden went through the Mirror with her? Would you be able to meet him then?

I don't know. I don't have anything concrete whatsoever to back this up, but I like to think it depends on your Warden. It would be awesome beyond words if her relationship with your Warden changed Morrigan and therefore the way she raised the baby.

If you romanced or befriended her, she seems to soften, just a little. It would be cool if that affected how she acted later on, whereas if you were neutral or didn't get along (or even stabbed her *shakes fist*), she's just as ruthless as ever.

No. I hated her with a passion.
At first, she was interesting. Seemed to have a way cool past, a good reason for being the way she was, and pretty intellegent...... Sort of.

But initial impressions were dulled when it became clear that She was closed minded and her opinions on survival and power were completely self serving.

Thats what I liked about KOTR, your characters could be convinced of different opinions. Made your relationship with them actually mean something.

But Morrigan by comparrison is one dimentional and boring.
Ive got 5$ that says if morrigan had a bulky robe on for the wh9ole game instead of those clothes that showed 75% of her t!ts, she wouldnt have half the fans she does now.....

(IMO)

Seriously though. The only way I would be happy with her coming back in DA2, is if you can kill her.
Thats the only satisfying conclusion IMO.

I love her, however if you really hate her, do this.  Go to dragonagenexus.com (or you might check biowares projects page, not sure if it's there) and get the "Morrigan Restoration Mod".

You see, originally it was scripted that you could betray Morrigan to the Templars after Broken Circle, however for whtever reason they scrapped it.  However, they did get Claudia Black's voice work for the scene done, its all there.  So, the author of said mod used the toolset to create his/her own cutscene to restore it (and personally I think he/she did a very nice job interpreting the dialogue).  You turn her in, she attacks the templars and escapes in dog form.  You get -100 approval with her and she's gone.
