THE GAME IS NOT OUT YET!!!!!!

..... i figured it is only fair :)

You know, i'm not even sure cinematic is such a good thing either. I mean it makes your first time through epic, but i don't know many people who can watch the same movie 20 times in the span of a few weeks without hating themselves for it.

I have no desire to play DAO over and over again.  Already beat it twice.  I'll keep it on my hardrive and play it again in a few years.  I personally love voiced protagonists.  I look forward to more responsive combat.  Hopefully BioWare will keep improving upon the direction they are going. /personal opinion

Good ... With all those hack'n'slash hater. That does not understand the genre at all .. I was getting bald ..Pulling my hair out and screaming in agony

Bioware should create a thread and stick it .. Explain in detail about the history of video game .. Make it a book.
Than have a paragraph about turn based,Realtime,Hardware technoly and hack'n'slash and why  japan fail right now in rpg.

Than you can learn something . Otherwise you will never understand . Because they do not teach that in school
They don't teach you to be intelligent. They only teach you how to sound intelligent.

No matter any game be it DA2, ME3, as long as it is made by BioWare, it will be awesome. They are that good.

Game looks amazing. When you guys said you upgraded the combat system so it felt more like you controlled the character, I honestly just thought they'd shuffle faster and you'd just have to hit A everytime you attacked instead of just once. Saw the gameplay vid, and was amazed to see how fluid and responsive the game looks... I see how it works like DAO still, but is as visually impressive as an action game or JRPG. It still plays like DAO, with the commands, but just doesn't look like it was made with the cheap RPG Maker module you guys have been using since the 90s anymore.

I like the visual changes from DAO to DA2, too. Hawke's armor and weapon look amazing, very iconic. DAO looked like a generic fantasy game which could be another D&D like Neverwinter Nights for all you knew from just looking at it. DA2 definitely has a look of it's own which is recognizable and iconic. Very interesting, too. I like the way Hawke looks, whereas everyone wearing the same IRL style platemail suit in DAO was very boring. I like that Hawke looks like a hero instead of some stock extra. The voice acting is great too. The game is very cinematic and immersive, as opposed to interaction feeling limited to some lifeless survey. The emotion options are great too.

Good job, devs. I'm really looking forward to release and love the direction the game is going.

Wow, did you read the official marketing campaign for DA2 and just add "I like" before every bullet point.

I mean your entitled to your opinions but I can only picture like Victor Wachter talking when I read this.

I'm excited for more Bioware but cant say i'm too happy with the new direction at all.

Is it so wrong that someone likes the game for what it is? I have faith in BioWare. Have they ever failed in delivering a good game so far? Let them do what they have to do, stop hating.

So someone couldn't possibly be happy about the marketed features of DA:2?  :?

Honestly I don't think I was that hard on the OP.

Seriously thought it sounds like the transcript from the Bioware dev Blogs.

I'm not happy with the direction. I like playing stock extras and nameless, voiceless protagonists. When I want to put some pre-made personality behind the character I play something like Mass Effect or The Witcher (to name a few). It's just nice to have variations ya know? But I guess that nowadays the market is geared towards cinematic, action-packed, "recognisable" experiences. And while I don't generally agree with it, the majority seems to do so...it's not like I have  a choice.

Ah well /shrug

I would love for any of these people who claim Hawke is a "pre-made personality" to fill us all in on even the tiniest bit of info about what that personality is.

We're all dying to know, but only you guys seem to have the inside information. So spill. Is he a nice guy? Is he cold and ruthless? Is he cowardly? Noble? Brave? Shy? Egotistical? Witty? Rude? Blunt? Honorable? Generous? Greedy?

Anything you could provide would be great.

Seriously though, you know what he means. Unless you are imagination challanged, you can create a more personally yours main character then a VO'ed one.

Any changes made to Dragon Age 2 to be more mainstream so it brings in more sales is a good move for Bioware. They should also consider utilizing Playstation Move and Kinetic for the game. They should also consider bringing DA2 to the Wii.

People in those days are too lazy to sai an hardcore Crpg like Baldur's gate series was.. All its going to be streamlised.. I Dont like the direction of dragon age is taking.. I prefear old style Rpg they are much more deep in evrything.. Maybe they have an old Gameplay maybe they don't have a Shiny graphic or a badass voice character.. But they have beatyfull story rich of features and when you build your character you can create a defined nice character... Voice acting.. Dialog Wheel are good if you have a predefined character but not if you are making one.. Mass effect 2 its a perfect example how a game can stop to be a roleplay game.. Since i played it.. and yes wooooh cool graphic and yaaaaay voice acting... But i found it boring.. And linear... :/..

Baldur's gate 2:Best RPG ever..

I must say this, because this has been repeated too many time but BG series is not as great as it seems. DA2 is essentially Origins but faster, and many "streamlining" as people say have been in Origins too but they just don't see beyond the 6 Origins.

No, I really don't, because voice and personality are two entirely separate things, at least if you want to operate outside of clichés.

A nerdy person doesn't have to have a thin, reedy voice. A coward doesn't have to have a shaky voice. A badass doesn't have to have a gruff voice (you listening, Christian Bale?). And so forth.

Having a voice that sounds like Nicholas Boulton (IMO) doesn't mean you can't still give your character whatever personality you want. The devs said they were pretty thorough in getting someone who could give them a huge range, to accommodate all kinds of different personalities.

Wouldn't it be great if you do a slashing motion on your controller, Hawke performs the same on Darkspawns? But why stop there, as well as button mashing, I would like a timed-events implemented in the game. I also prefer if the characters are in their teens, ability to use first-person perspective, modify the inventory system so it's more like  Mass Effect 2 and acquire gold not by killing enemies but mining the gold instead.

What I meant Onyx, was you know the planet mining in ME2? Well, something like that should be implemented in DA2. Something like you get your character inside a mine and peform a series of timed-events. If your successful, you acquire gold and repeat.

Way to give me all the credit for the awesomely brutal idea that just spawned from my mind then.

In business you have to be a shark. .You have to act like one and be one, and just kill everybody. By mining them for their money.
