But DAO has not been out nearly as long, and we didn't even get DLCs in the spirit of DAO.  I was hoping for more.  I'd pay for more.

Fair enough.

I'm so totally AMAZED there is a thread where the OP isn't ****ing and whining about how much DA2 sucks. Good job, Felfenix! By creating this thread, you have automatically earned +10 to Awesomeness, however you suffer -3 penalty to Troll Defense!

Me, i prefer changes, too, otherwise you get Fallout New Vegas, which looks like an expansion pack for Fallout 3.

Looking forward to DA2!

I prefer the changes to Dragon Age 2 as well. Those people who are afraid of changes or what I like to call them "Dragon Age Republicans" are stopping Bioware from reaching their full potential. They are afraid of words like mainstream, simplified and DLC. They want Bioware to be stuck in the past where they create dated games to fulfill their nostalgia

To Bioware,

for Dragon Age 3 I want to you guys to forget the single-player experience. Focus fully on implementing multiplayer. Maybe just make a 6-8 hour single-player campaign at most, since it just prepares the player for multiplayer. Halo and Call of Duty series are the most popular and highest selling games of all time and Dragon Age franchise can be the same.

Multiplayer will consist of two sets of players, 8 on each side fighting it out on death matches or capture the flag (in DA's case capture Morrigan's baby) and other multi-player modes found in other shooters. Players can still choose whether they want to play as fighter, mage or thief and choose what race to play as human, dwarf, darkspawn, etc. These multi-player matches should be played on several areas that were used on DA1 & 2 i.e. city of Denerim. Not only you will be charging players for the game but for new maps after its release. If Activision can charge $15 for map packs, I can see Bioware doing the same.

I prefer DA3 to be on the consoles exclusively, but if you have to have it on the PC, forget about having dedicated servers. Some PC users might threaten to boycott DA3, but as Modern Warfare 2 sales shown us that their boycott don't mean jack.

I'm sure doing this for DA3 will help you prepare for your new military FPS, if those rumors are true.

Anyone wants to answer my question whether the dialogue wheel will consist of text or icons like IGN reported? Or we don't know it yet.

That's where the money is at. Besides I'm helping Bioware transition to this miltary FPS that are going to develop some time in the future. Bioware is probably leaving the RPG genre and moving onto greater things. It's best they experiment on a series that sell the least. Mass Effect beat DA in sales and while, The Old Republic isn't out yet, we know it will beat DA in sales, unless it's terrible like APB. But we know it won't. Besides, this Lord of Rings that DA has is so 2003. Realistic military FPS is the way of the future.

Admittedly, capturing Morrigan's baby was pretty funny...

Believe that all you want. Game developers are a business and Bioware is no different. They have to develop games that are most profitable. First-person shooters are the most profitable games today. The main reasons Mass Effect 2 sold very well because it improved the shooting elements and left behind the convoluted RPG elements of the first ME.

Nevermind. Read from other topic that the dialogue will consist of icons that the player will choose. It's just like in Fable series. COOL!!! I hope they have the farting icon. Nothing like getting to people to like you by farting 5 times in row.

Are you talking about me nightcorba? Where are my attempts in "spreading misinformation"? My previous posts here are just what I recommend Bioware should go to be a profitable business. You don't have to agree to it but don't tell me those posts are to "****** off" people.

So said the Dragon Age Republicans. If it where up to you guys will be stuck at text-based games where we type the actions of the character.

Everything I've read about combat sounds great to me, having combat be more responsive is a great direction to go in. I'm also looking forward to the voiced protagonist and I think the personality system is a great way to add little touches here and there that make the character feel more consistent with player choice. I liked DAO as a flawed but fun game and I am eager to see where DA2 goes.

I may enjoy the heck out of my old games where you had to make your own maps on graph paper, and it's awesome that ancient people like me have The Dark Spire and the Etrian Odysseys to scratch that itch, but I like seeing genre progression as well.  I trust Bioware to do so in interesting ways.

I mostly like what i read, but then i see Hawke doing some weird speed up toddle whenever she ain't using the 'warp to spot' moves, which winds up looking even more awkward than the previous shuffle... and i have to wonder just how well will these ideas translate into actual game.

I'm loving everything I've seen so far. I'm neutral on the voice protagonist. It didn't bother me in ME, so I think it's worth a shot.

And there is nothing wrong with that.  I for one am counting down the days to FNV.  Much more excited about it than about DA2, and I liked DAO much more than I liked Fallout 3.

Change is not always good.
