heyas;

  stumbling around with the Plot editor thingy.  what is the SOP for using main flags vs defined flags?  i see that main flags have journal entries and rewards, wheras defined ones cannot.  also, i can't seem to access defined flags in the conversation quick plot thingy?  yet defined flags are the only ones i can change via script?

  i don't get it?   the wiki doesn't mention anything (except counts) about main vs defined.

  the rest i understand.  the journal entries and sub-plots, and using/setting the flags in the conversation.  and i understand there's scripts to use to do custom return values.  or checks.  wait...  if i want to have a flag that... okay, its not really a FLAG, because i want it to count like what plot run-through it is on.  so it will be like PLOT = 0, then =1, =2, =3, etc.  i can do that, right??

Try this:

BTW: Not to be rude or anything, but it's difficult to understand you (and thus help you) when you jump to a new idea before finishing the old one. You seem to do that in a lot of your posts.

OMG I GET IT!!!!!!!!

a MAIN flag is a variable you set and change and get.

a DEFINED flag is not a flag, it is a CHECK that you *do*. in a script somewhere.

okay, just one question... how does the conversation know which script to run to do that check? do you just name it the same as the plot?

The plot script is a property of the plot resource.
