I know that Zevran joins after the first blight quest (sure, or randomly? I don't know). But I want to get it quickly, what is the shortest blight quest? Redcliffe, Circle of Mages, Elves or Dwarves?

Use the ZevranASAP Mod. You'll get him after Lothering then.^^

I generally go to the Circle first for the bonus points, and the dragons there are small ones. As Dragons deserve my RPG respect, I attempt to kill dragons in the proper order.

It's a tossup between the Dalish Elves and the Urn of Sacred Ashes. You can go to Denerim and get this quest before Redcliffe.

Thanks! I think I will try this.

The elves one is the shortest. If you choose to side with werewolves, that is. You won't end up running back and forth.

If you're looking at timewise, like I said, either the Urn of Sacred Ashes or the Dalish Elf quests are the quickest. If you have the PC version, however, there is a mod that will let you skip the fade, which shortens the Mages quest considerably and might push it to the front.

With ZevranASAP, you need to install it before finishing Ostagar -- the cutscene triggers between Flemmeth's hut and Lothering.

I like taking Zevran to the fade :) Redcliff, if you sacrifice Isolde or Connor, is fastest I think. But I like Zevran in Redcliff... Hell, I use ZevranASAP :D

Edit: You don't choose who to side with with the Dalish quest until the very end so it makes no difference who you side with there.  However, a nice advantage to doing the Dalish first is you should have a plot gift and an additional dialog with Zevran straight off!

I'd think the Mages Tower is the quickest if you just run through the Fade without collecting the stat points (There are about 15 I think). Other than that, the Dalish questline is the quickest unless you decide you want to help everyone you can, then there is a lot of running back and forth.

Why in Ostagar? In the mod description http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=840 says:

When can I install this mod?
You must install the mod before you arrive in Lothering for the first time. If you install it after arriving in Lothering for the FIRST time, Zevran won't be able to find you. If that is the case, reload to an earlier save or use this mod for your next character.

I think I can install it before leaving Flemeth's hut.

Am I right?

Yes, before leaving Flemeth's hut. It's just that if it gets installed too late, you won't get the cutscene or encounter at all, so I'm conservative in my warning.

Edit: If you have a save from before you leave Flemeth's hut, you should be ok, and you'll know very quickly if you're not (immediately after the Bann Teagan/Anora cutscene, the Zevran one should trigger).

Ok, then I might reload a saved game just after defeating the ogre. Thanks.

There are 21 pts available in the PC version.

Personally, I play the Fade bit instead of skipping it, as it presents a bit of a challenge to do with early builds. For instance, my respec 2H runs over most things in his way, but in Burning Man mode, he is soooo slowww because of auto-swings; forced to think tactically for each build design.

Just Redcliffe wont' trigger it. Without a mod, the fastest way i found to get Zevran is to do the Urn right out of Lothering. Go to Denerim, trigger the encounter with Waylon-imposter then head to Haven. the game believes you have done one of the treaty quests when you do that and you pick up zevran shortly thereafter as normal. (I did this my last playthrough, and his comments for a mage female in the Circle tower are a hoot!)

Redcliff WILL trigger it -- as long as you sacrifice Isolde or Connor.

Edit: It won't trigger it if you go to the mage's tower first as you're leaving Redcliff before the quest is completed.  But if you sacrifice Isolde or Connor, you've finished the quest.  I know this -- before Charsen put out Zevran ASAP, this was the way I normally triggered the encounter.

But all that dungeon crawling around and zombie fighting and the preparation crap isn't as short as the Urn quest.  The Urn quest is faster and can be knocked out of the way and you aren't required to kill Isolde or Connor to do so.

You don't have to do that either, though.  Just do the quest, when you get to the castle, choose to sacrifice Isolde or Connor instead of going to the mage tower.  The Urn quest has its own preparation (running to Denerim, going through Haven, and its own dungeon crawl which is several zones).

Really, they're about the same.  Redcliff is a short quest.  The thing is, Zevran does have a lot to say in Redcliff, so it's a shame missing it.

Edit: As far as which is faster, I've never actually timed either -- but both strike me as pretty short, with Redcliff being shorter.  But even if the Urn is faster, that's a far different thing than saying Redcliff doesn't trigger it.  Redcliff does trigger it, and there are reasons why someone would want to have Zevran in both places.  Really, he has the least to say in the Dalish camp, so I used to do that one first occasionally as well, though I like his plea for the Dalish.

I'm just grateful for ZevranASAP!

As was mentioned above, if you install the 'Skip the Fade' mod, Broken Circle becomes a very speedy quest.
