My laptop is a new hp dv6-3150us and it will only allow me to use one mouse button at a time, so I can scan the planets but not launch a probe etc. How can i fix this? i tried to change the keybindings but have not been able to get it to work? i would really hate to have to buy a usb mouse to fix the issue. If anyone can help I appericate it
Cant launch probes on laptop

You have to buy a USB mouse. Why in the world would you try playing a shooter game with only a trackpad?

If you really want to use the trackpad, there is a coalesced.ini hack that changes the key bindings at a very low level. It basically assigns a keystroke to start scanning another keystroke to stop it.
Ready for some modding? Good :-)
- backup your user data following this advice (that site contains some useful info on modding as well).
- backup the original coalesced.ini file in \\\\Mass Effect 2\\\\BioGame\\\\Config\\\\PC\\\\Cooked\\\\
- download, extract and start this tool. It has it's own backup mechanism, but still: make a manual backup.
- find the section BIOInput and the subsection [SFXGame.SFXGameModeOrbital] where all the settings for planet scanning are listed
- The one you want to change is either Bindings=( Name="RightMouseButton", Command="Shared_GalaxyScan" ) or Bindings=( Name="LeftMouseButton", Command="Shared_GalaxyProbe" ). You have to change at least one of the Name="..." items to any letter or button on the keyboard, (SpaceBar) for example.
- Restart the game :-)
Still, how the hell did you manage to play a shooter on a trackpad? Awesome!

i too have the same issue i have an hp envy 14 and it has the same touch pad. Why hp in all its wisdom decided to copy apple and make the same touch pad is beyound me. This does present a issue with FPS games but you can usually remap them this game does not let you do that for some reason. Which is mind blowing to me!

System requirements are listed as "Keyboard and Mouse" not "Keyboard and Trackpad". Either use the above mentioned hacks, or plug in a mouse.

Yeah, why should anyone be under the impression they can play this game on their gaming laptop? Because gaming laptops aren't made for games, and mice just float in the air next to the limited space you might have near your laptop. The nerve of people to expect things to do what they are supposed to be designed for.

Please leave the dead and buried corpses in their graves. If you cannot find a thread active in the past six months, start a new one of your own. Thank you.
For ANY OTHER grave-diggers: game developers EXCLUDE support for all laptops because the term "Gaming Laptop" is an Oxymoron. Laptop manufacturers, other than Sager, don't really CARE about games at all.

I think I speak for everyone when I say shut up, every point you made is stupid and without merit. My laptop can run this game beautifully, the only problem being the left and right mouse button depend on the number of fingers on the trackpad. I can use the left mouse button or the right mouse button I just can't do both as the same time. Just because you and Zoot1976 bought a crappy laptop don't whine about it to others. If the moderators actually gave a damn about old topics being resurrected they'd have them lock when they reached a certain age.Gorath Alpha wrote...

I only wish your post was six months ago so I could ****** you off even more.
