Oh and btw, I can confirm that the engine supports voice acting, however I don't know if there will be any.

Got an answer to the Voice acting question. There are around 8-9 voice actors ready. They may not be used at all, but if they are, only the main story-related quests will be voice acted.

due to all of us having quite alot to do in RL these days, we're careful when it comes to releasing definate release dates.
When we've progressed far enough to safely estimate any dates we'll make sure to let everyone know

The next thing to look forward to are the Alpha sign ups.
Once those are open, the Alpha itself won't be far away

Did I mention that you should check out our Mass Effect Diaries thread on the forums ? It's pretty fun, you make up a character, post entries now and then, and if your character is interesting enough, he might be included in the game !

I am actually surprised at the amount of 'security' employees, turian or not.

1. Cassiden Tidus, C-Sec, Enforcement, Turian.
2. Jamie Summers, C-Sec, Enforcement, Human.
3. Theron Datturian, Illium Police,Forensic Services, Turian.

Most of the diaries make very interesting reads, even if some just describe a normal life, like Oda Finn's.

A few more would be great for sure, but I'm really enjoying them as they are now! Very easy to keep track of. Lots of talent in that group too, I love the turian 3d model one guy has for his avatar.

That would be Scooter. Indeed, the MEC staff is talented in various stuff, as you can see.

Exactly. After finishing ME2 I thought to myself "Now I have to wait x Years for ME3 to come out.... " So, in order to help pass the time, starting a fan-game seemed like the best thing.



And yea, the Diaries are great. My entries are typically short, but I try to make them intertwine with my real life.

Well, the MEC staff's policy is to not put deadlines, because they just kill any good project. However, there will be more information about the Alpha in the next blog, that will be up around the last week of October.

last weekend of a month is usually the time we release new DevBlogs
however due to differences in timezones and the often mentioned RL obligations it might vary a bit and not be the same to everyone. What might be late afternoon on Saturdays for the Americans, is already Sunday for Australia...

but yes, we try to keep everyone up to date with what's happening on the project and especially the Alpha, though it's still some way away
