Mysteries of Westgate is the only Adventure Pack for NWN2. As it stands, it doesn't look as if there are going to be any more Expansions or Adventure Packs for NWN2. We're still hoping for a 1.24 patch, but even that's dwindling. While NWN2 and it's expansions make a great round of gaming, the Community Made Modules are really where creativity and longevity comes into play, including any and all Persistent Worlds (which are Community Made Modules in their own right, just a bit different from Single Player Modules.)

So keep playing and look through the Modules at the IGN Vault and explore. There are some really great offerings by Community members that, in the opinion of many, rival and exceed the Developer made OC and Expansions.

You do not need MotB or SoZ to play MoW (but they are good games in their own rights and you should buy them ). MoW is download only.

@Ghost: please, have mercy of all users who are not English mother-language. Less abbreviations and more fully understandable words! :-(

What makes you think that native speakers can understand him? The only "zz" I know are the guys with big beards from the 80s. Posted Image

Right on. I figured maybe he had narcolepsy and kept falling asleep at the keyboard...

Am I right in believing these questions have been asked/answered before?

@ Vaalyah: Most people here are pretty laid back about most stuff. So as long as you can roughly understand the poster (enough of the words to understand the sentence), most people can be forgiving. This is especially true because many forum members are not native English speakers and they can speak English better than most of us speak their language.

@ GhOst: Your English is ok but you should know that "zz" is not a word. :D

There is no free MoW. The link is to the vault where there are free modules to play made by the community. Look at Dunnitowl's post for the link.

I'm pretty sure that zz and zzzz are expressions of lack of excitement. Yes, Vaalyah, we tend not to complain simply because as long as we get the general idea, we just move forward.

I'm guessing (and hoping) you mean harder to play as in harder to run, rather than actually harder to play? Certainly NWN has less of a community now than DA does, but I would hardly say DA is "taking over"; rather, it caters to a slightly different audience and, I think (and hope), pulled in a lot of non-NWN-players. There are quite a few of us who still appreciate NWN, though (and to be honest, NWN never really took over BG, for example... there will always be at least a few who stick with the "old" game(s)).

I suppose its=it's ; isnt=isn't im=I'm and eng=English.
I still don't understand "u" and "n". It's not a problem with English, but with abbreviations!

Vaalyah, I understand your frustration, since you've obviously worked very hard at being able to communicate in English. It would seem to me that anyone who can learn (or affect) a corrupted version of the language (I think it's called Netspeak) should be able to learn the real thing. Just my opinion. Is there an Italian version, or do only English users have to put up with this silliness?

I'm no English native speaker, but I understand the general idea (though not everything), as dno said.

I guess:
u = you
n = and? (as in rock n' roll? Not sure about this one)

However:
= = ", =/ ? and zzz = ???

Maybe dno is right about the "zzzs", but it feels a bit weird in the middle of a sentence.

Edit: Just in case, dno=dunniteowl.

I think = = " means anxious consternation, it's a representation of those temple sweatdrops you see anime. The = = are a pair of downcast eyes, and the " is the sweatdrop. I think the zz and zzzz are actually ellipses, when writing in Chinese characters from top to bottom, I think sometimes you use a wavy or jagged vertical line to indicate a pause, exasperated silence, or to connect two otherwise disjointed clauses. the zz is just a romanization of that kind of line. Replace it with ... and the post makes some sort of sense.

Welcome to global English, people, learn it now so you can text your grandkids. Wot wot!

@ Sieben: yes, there is the so called "linguaggio da sms" (language for sms, you know those in cell phones) where you can't understand half of the things. I HATE IT. and it's prohibited in forums!

@Arkalezth: thank you for the translation! :-D

Thank you, Lugaid, for your translation. Who would have thought that anyone could translate anime facial expressions into text? I don't want to beat this thread to death or criticize any particular individual, but this discussion raises an important point. If you cannot communicate effectively, you will be misunderstood. All languages have grammatical rules, spelling and punctuation standards and we learn them as part of our basic education. They change with time, since all things evolve. It's fine to be trendy, but if people can't understand you, you will be ignored or thought illiterate. Today's "cool" slang is tomorrow's "square".

I apologize for going so far off topic, but hey, it is the Bioware SOCIAL Network. I spent my career trying to teach college students to express themselves succinctly and understandably, so Netspeak just grates on my nerves. And please, stop saying "ya' know".
