what if the reason shepherd is so perfect is because he was genetically engineered by the alliance to be the perfect soldier?
Think about it hannah shepherd could have just been the surrogat or what ever the correct word is so that shepherd never suspects the truth.
A sort of Metal gear solid type thing where the army created the perfect soldier
And when shepherd died harbinger may have taken a sample of cells to confirm that the body is shepherds

Evidence of this:
He is remarkably strong willed (understood the prothean beacon)
Cerberus had no difficulty ressurecting him
Harbinger (the reaper/collecter thing) is very interested in acquiring his genetic code

Imagine this: its the end of mass effect 3, the reaper fleet has been destroyed and harbinger has crashed onto the citadel and the squad turn to walk off.
just as they do a burst of red lightning pulses through harbinger and says "We are the harbinger of your perfection!" and the loading bay door opens on the front and a shadowy figure exits.
while he is off camera everyone is stunned and when we finally see him it turns out to be shepherd but with an oppsite faction to the player (if you are paragon he will be renegade) and all of his stats maxed out.
he then stuns the other two squad mates and shepherd fights him alone

So the Alliance cloned the perfect soldier then dumped him/her in a slum for a laugh?

And then deliberatley used him as Thresher Maw bait?

Or perhaps Shepard is simply skilled?

We shouldn't plunge deep into pure sci-fi pulp just because technically everything is possible...
Uh, and have fun with that?

Not yet, but Mac Walters is trying his hardest to turn it into one.

No thanks Sounds a bit lame. Id love think That Sheppard isn't some Bioengeneered freak O nature. It kind of goes against the "Humanity earning it 1st specter" thing. and the whole Antiversion of the main character has been done to death They should call him Nega-sheppard and they go to a room and work out there issues and decide to get some churros next Tuesday.

lol this ^

My Shep is Earth Born, would make absolutely no sense whatsoever for her to be
a clone.

...

also that’s a pretty lame story arc IMO anyway. Sorry but if that happen I would probably end up either LMAO
or beating my head repetitively against the desk.

First off, you can't imagine a commander to even be weak willed. Cerberus also spent billions to actually have the project work so you can't say it was exactly easy. And lastly, I think the sole reason the Harbinger is even interested in him is just because the fact that he is credited with destroying a Reaper/Sovereign.
