That's crossing the line between jealousy and just plain malicious. The line about Jack was pretty harsh too.

That's horses#!t.
You hurt her, she hurts you back. Case closed. What, is Liara just supposed to meekly take it? "I want my beloved to be happy" etc...? "I'm so happy for you and Thane, I'll just go stand over here..."?
In any case, I'm thankful there were no catfights or other junior high antics, like some of the fans were gleefully expecting.

I didn't say I expected Liara to "meekly take it". I'm saying it was a harsh and unexpected blow to Shepard and Thane, considering she had to bring Thane's dead wife into it that's way to personal in my opinion. It's not necessarily uncalled for, but harsh nonethelss. Not what I'd expect out of Liara, she just had a moment of weakness and apologizes for it. She's not a malicious person.

Wow, security aboard the SR-2 is a goddamn joke, huh? Everybody knows Shepard's business even if you never say a word to anyone about it.
People talk on the Normandy...and Kasumi hears EVERYTHING. Conversations with Tali are easily overheard by Ken, Gabby, and Jack. Conversations with Jack (including the casual sex), are easily overheard by Ken, Gabby, and Tali. The only explanation for conversations with Miranda, Garrus, Thane, and Jacob are that Kasumi was sneaking around while cloaked and followed you as you before the doors closed. Man, she gets around. She's also, very obviously, the ship gossip; there just isn't enough for her to steal to keep her otherwise occupied.
Conversations with Kelly, on the other hand, seem to be ignored by everyone. Maybe because they've all had their own conversations with Kelly.
Heh...."Conversations with Kelly," sounds like a risque late-night radio talk show.

My question is less "how does information get from the Loft to the Sub-Deck" and more "why are they being permitted to sell it to an information broker?", though. We're apparently on such tight security we have to be certain Alliance ships don't spot us at Horizon, but everyone except Legion has full comms access.JediSoth wrote...

And...Ouch, Liara, ouch. That Thane line...ouch. They're all pretty acerbic, but...yech. That's just painful.

It's too bad the devs chose to be scrupulously "fair" with all squaddies... Since Courtenay Taylor was Vasir's VA (according to the wiki), they could have had some Jack dialogue recorded... I'm sure most fans are rational and wouldn't have minded.
Your expectations are far too high. The Talinutters would probably fill every subforum with threads about dem hips being neglected.

EDIT: did anyone else think it was odd that she didn't say ANYTHING about Kelly? You'd think she'd throw in something about you have a tramp dance for you... but she said nothing. I think a comment about the yeomen would have been funny.
Something like....
"And now I've been tossed aside for a woman who shares her bed with varren!"

I'm not getting it. Did they record the LotSB lines when they did the main ME2 ones (i.e. before ME2 release)? If not, then why there's the femShep lines for romancing female team members?
Unless... there's going to be another DLC >
Yes, most of the lines were recorded at the same time the vanilla game's lines were, and are present on the disc. My personal belief is that they hired Meer and Hale to come in first, and record all of their lines and included bisexual love interest lines to cover their bases if they decided to implement it later, since a lot of the romances don't require pronoun changes.

Don't forget Kasumi I'm-In-Your-Business Goto! She seems gossipy enough to spread it around, and Shepard is important enough to warrant being a major topic of conversation about the Normandy.
