I've just started playing ME2 for the first time and intensely for two days now.  My Shepard character is imported from ME1's end.

I've had two what seem to be random unrelated freezes where all I could do is manually turn off the 360 and restore to the last autosave.  The last freeze was when I was mining Zanethu after discovering the anamoly but before exploring it further.

Is there anything on best prevention against freezing?  My plan at this point is to start saving more often--autosave isn't often enough.

PS: I didn't find anything recent or mentioning the problem.  Nothing in the bugs thread seen.  Thus I started a new thread.

That's been happening to me too. Sometimes during a conversation or just gameplay. However I just let it sit there for a couple of seconds and it goes to normal. Also interested in any replies this gets.

It's not the same thing... In my case there is no waiting a few seconds for it to go back to normal. I've waited up to 5 minutes this second time before shutting the 360 off and rebooting. Should I wait 10 minutes next time?

The game has frozen a third time now in 3 days. This last time I was finishing mining the Solar System and ready to jump out. I'm going to give it a number of minutes on end to see if it does clear up on its own again. But I need more input on this ongoing problem please. Thank you.

I've only had the game freeze once on me... I was right in the middle of a mission (can't remember which) on Insanity, and I took cover against a wall. At that exact moment, the game froze. I was pressed against the wall and couldn't move. Both my allies could move and shoot but I couldn't press any buttons at all, I couldn't pause, shoot, direct allies, or anything. I had to manually reboot my xbox and start again from a previous save. Luckily I had saved just a few minutes prior to that experience...
