On the log in panel the e-mail and password lines won't illuminate for entery of info. The "Manage Account/Forgot Password" line illuminates and surfs the web. The log on panel also says "you are not connected to the internet" while I am and the manage/password options goes to the web...Can anyonr help me find out what's going on?

Are you absolutely certain this hasn't already been adequately covered before now?

BTW this error can happen too if you use a program called TCP Optimizer.
The "Optimal" settings enables "ECN Capbilites" which cause EA servers blocks you for security reason. Same for Gamespy Network

How about you don't bother posting if you're just going to be a jerk?

Thanks for the fix. I had this enabled & since I disabled it, now I have zero issues with EA's login server.

I found a solution by performing a "System Recovery" (not Restore).Once I did this everything worked with the online connection. Game progress and accomplishments are logged on the Bioware servers for you and others to see. I downloaded the "goodies" and new DAO adventures. Once the codes for goodies are used, that's it. They are inaccessible even if the download failed. I ended up re-purchasing the game for new download codes...Recovery involves reloading all your programs again. That's the bummer. My game connection problem seemed to involve the "channels" for my router using the correct channels to communicate with the game servers at Bioware for DAO. Direct connection to the internet must use "channels" for the servers too.

The problem SEEMED to involve the router; probably also the direct to network cord and connector. The problem DID NOT involve these things.
