I already beat the game and chose to continue playing, and then i downloaded th Lair of the shadow broker. I never use DLC packages so I am not sure how to begin the mission? I read somewhere that you recieve a message but after I downloaded it and then i resumed game nothing changed. I even went to Illium haha. I have no cluee what to do from here and would love to play it!

Talk to Liara. If you can talk to her about the Shadow Broker, then that's great. If not, follow the directions below. If you can do the mission, you don't have to do what I type below, but it's still a good idea to do it.
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE: Is your Xbox Live profile registered under the same email address as your BioWare Social profile? If not, create a new BioWare profile with the same email address as your Xbox Live profile.
With the account that has your Live profile's email, register your game on this website. Under your profile picture, move the mouse over "My Games" and click "Register games". Under "Mass Effect 2 - Xbox 360" click "Register Game". Follow the directions to enter the UPC code and register the game.

Before you speak to her about any shadow broker buisness, be sure to ask Liara about Samara, or else, you will not be able to recruit her!

Why what happens when you ask Liara about Samara?
As i have played the Lair of the Shadow Broker & i don't remember having to or having the option for asking Liara any questions about Samara?
