Yeah... I thought the parking lot was hard...
Outside of the entrance door on the Shadow Broker's ship... no way.
Just, no way.
The last round in which Liara makes her joke about them all attacking at once... no way. There's no cover, anywhere, and no ammo seems to drop. LofSB is becoming my least favorite part of the game. I like my gaming to be fun, not to cause me to yell like a madman.

The best thing to do at that point is to take cover facing whatever side the enemies are coming from and make use of the lightning conductors to stun and damage enemies. So long as you are killing them in a reasonable amount of time you should never actually wind up entirely surrounded. The first wave comes exclusively from the right hand side, then you get the left hand side, then you get the rocket drones to the rear of the door, then the right hand side, and then the left hand side again to finish things off from what I remember. So you should actually be able to take cover regardless of where the enemies are coming from unless it's taking you a long time to handle any one side's enemies.

If you want I can make a video of that section with my infiltrator when I get off work.

@HazelrahFive - Scrogubiltzen did a video of vanguard on 360 for that part on his 360 cryovanguard thread. Here is the link

When I did that with soldier I had ammo shortage as well. The fact that its new makes it a challenge - and there are a lot of enemies. If you are yelling like a madman then you must be liking the game ( join the club ) - it is supposed to be difficult.

Anyway, I'd like to see Sino's video to look at his strategy.

I'm not absolutely clear on the original posters class.

The encounter right before you enter the shadow brokers ship
and "hold the line" is  great on insanity.  I found soldier to be
one of the easier classes here.  Sometimes,  I like a mattock,
but here.  Definitely, the revenant.  Spray and pray!

Keep squad mates positioned in cover, and away from
lightening capacitors.  Keep hitting the capacitors.  Use squad
abilities to balk the AI flankers.  I never once had to even think
about ammo. All positioning, and awareness of enemy
movements.

Maybe, describe your class and build.  People might then be
able to provide you with suggestions and ideas more in
keeping with what you're working with.

Shockwave is fairly useless on Insanity, Pas.
And i am pretty sure it wont affect anyone in a Singularity.
My strategy (done with both Vanguard and Adept Insanity NG + runs) is Arc Projector + Overload (thanks, Garrus) + Singularity as they land. But, it may be too late for that. What heavy weapon and squadmate do you bring? What do you have to work with?

I always found Shockwave to be useful because it knocked people off and they'd fall to their deaths. It never did do much damage. Does this not happen in Insanity mode? (About to try my first run-through for Insanity).

That video is not for someone having issues with the map though, and I deliberately didn't shoot the lightning capacitors much because I wanted to kill most of the mobs myself.

The best advice is to make liberal use of the lightning capacitors as Sinosleep said.  Make sure to shoot the ones on the bottom as well as the ones on the top.  They reactivate every 5-10 seconds or so.

Shockwave works the same on insanity - the only problem is that you have to strip enemies off their defenses first (Armor, Shield, Barrier). On insanity, everything has some sort of protection

Thx for the  vid - I never realize that lightning rod does so much damage and that the enemies coming from certain directions in a certain order and those spots that have ammos :crying:. It is always very chaotic when i am playing and you seem to take care of them in a rather systematic way.

Yeah the respawning ammo points is something that you should be on the look out for during any set piece battles. There's usually at least one and often times more than one. That last thermal clip I picked up is actually of the resspawning variety but it just slipped my mind since I was headed towards it and then got distracted by something else and simply forgot to go get it.
