The CD key they gave me won't work

I've been trying to start up Bring Down the Sky.  I used my registration code that came with the game, and I got a CD key.  It then says to enter it, but it won't except it.  I tried deleting my thing and doing it again, but I got the same exact CD key and it still would not work.  I would really appreciate any help you guys had to offer.
