I'm having the same problem, I wish I could help. I keep trying to get my downloaded content to authorize...it's a shame the time a person spends trying to fix various bugs instead of enjoying the game...no more DLC for me.

Cheers 1-Cobalt,

The Game is a great concept unfortunately the reality is that it looses its edge in the bugs. I play for an escape from a wheel chair bound life in chronic pain, love the fact that I can run and be a hero and all that stuff, but when I have to remember to save every few minutes in case of a crash it takes away from the escape value and then add tech difficulties like this on top it really puts a dent in it.

Thanks for the Link, I appreciate the help.

Is it OK for you now? For me not. I wrote to EA support, but without success and i am fed up with it already.I got a lot of bad answers. Read it from below.

Greetings again Tom,
Thank you for writing us back at Electronic Arts.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience & disappointment this may have caused you.
It is a common problem, usually caused the Dragon Age Origins Content Updater service not starting automatically.
Try manually starting the service, before you start the game, to see if this resolves your issues.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START
If the problem still persists, then Simply run the game in admin mode.
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this may caused.

If there is anything else, we may assist you with, please contact us again. For any further questions or concern, you may visit our extensive knowledge base online at http://support.ea.com.

Thank you,
Andrew

Hello, it does not work. I deleted all cash and cookies. Link Download (Content) works, but link Download (Offer) does not work.
Maybe YOU should delete cash and cookies before you will try it.
Best regards Tom

Hi Tom,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us again regarding your Dragon Age: Origins purchase. It is always a pleasure to assist our customers in any way that we can.

I'm sorry to hear you are still experiencing difficulties, and apologize for any inconvenience. If you are not able to download or install the content then please follow the below given steps: -

First you would need to delete the “mainfest.xml” file. You can locate the file at the below listed path: -

Open “My Documents” folder.
Open “Bioware” folder.
Open “Dragon Age” folder.
Open “Settings” folder.
Right click on “Mainfest.xml” file and select “Delete”

Now you would need to delete the “DAUpdate” folder, which is present at the below given location: -

For Windows XP - "C:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\All Users\\\\Application Data\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\
For Windows Vista/Windows 7 - C:\\\\Users\\\\All Users\\\\Bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\

Right click on the “DAUpdate” folder and select delete.

Next you would need to clear your download cache for the downloadable contents. You can do so by following the instructions mentioned at the below given link: -

http://help.dragonag...p?p_faqid=23628

Once you have followed the steps mentioned above, re-start the game and download the content again. If the issue still persists, then we would advise you to download and run the latest patch for the game. You can find the information about the game patches at the below given link: -

http://social.biowar...ame_patches.php

Once you have patched the game, try and run the game and see if the issue is resolved. If the issue continues, then we would suggest you to uninstall and re-install the game.

To un-install the game, re-start the game and from the Game Launcher, click on the Uninstall button. You will be asked to confirm the un-installation of the game, click “Yes”. Make sure that on the next screen before clicking “Next”, you check the “Keep Save Games” check box, if you don't wish to lose your game progress.

Once you have uninstalled the game completely, re-install the game and see if the issue still persists.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please do let us know. Additional support can be found on our help site located at http://dragonage.bioware.com/.

Sincerely,
Vincent

Hi tkantor81,

I had the same sort of responses from them, automated rubbish.

Fortunately the content seems to play fine without the second file so I gave up on technical support. I get a more relevant response from the darkspawn.

It doesn't matter which browser whether, cookies cleared, everything loaded, deleted, unloaded, uploaded, or side loaded, or Front End Loaded! the message says the same thing (in different words for different browsers)

The webpage cannot be found

HTTP 404

Most likely causes:

•There might be a typing error in the address.

•If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

I did ask if they could email me the file with no response!

Next I'm going to write the address on the wall and try smashing my head against it and see if that makes more sense.

I bought this as well, and get a dead link on the second file too. Tried installing Firefox, same thing. Hmm, seems a bit like fraud to me when I can't access what I paid for.

I found it at:

I don't know if Bioware tech support reads this forum - but you are absolutely right, it is their website which needs to be fixed. I went through all the cache clearing etc. but getting a valid file did the trick.

Sorry folks, only just caught this now - I've asked for the change to the link.

The in-game DLC store/downloader should point correctly however. If you are not seeing DLC show up on the in-game dlc menu then this is likely an updater issue - please check the threads listed here:
