I'm having a problem with Dragon Age Origins DLC. I recently moved my
steam games from c drive to e drive, because i have most of my games
installed in e drive. I installed steam to e drive and moved all my
steamapps back games to that new steam folder.

I've tried every game i had in steam and almost everyone work fine, but not Dragon Age Origins.

I logged in with my EA acccount and saw that my DLC were unauthorised.
So i searched around steam forums and found that my i had Dragon Age
Update Service, in services.msc greyd and i could not start that
service. So somehow i seem to uninstalled that "Dragon Age Update
Service" from services.msc completely and i can't get it back to
services.msc so i could see that it is running and functioning normally.
I've already tried to unistall Dragon Age from steam and download it
again, but it didn't work since that did not add "Dragon Age Update
service" into services.msc.

I also tried those some dos commands, installutil and net start daupdatersvc.service.exe but that didn't work either

So could someone please help so i could play Dragon Age Origins with my DLC

Can anyone help me? I've also tried windows own system restore and that didn't not work either. So do i really have to buy new copy of Dragon Age Deluxe edition to get DLC to work properly in game.

perhaps your best bet is to open a service ticket with tech services for Bioware, they would be the best qualified to help with your problem.

If you go to www.ea.com, there is a support page there.

I've sent mail to EA help support, but as usual it's useless since they suggested to do things i've already have tried before sending help request from their support site.

So is my only option to reinstall windows or buying new copy of Dragon Age Origins Deluxe edition?

Go to your services list. Right-click and select properties for the Dragon Age Content Updater service. Go to the General tab. Where it says "Path to executable", is that where the daupdater.exe lives?

I don't have "Dragon Age Content Updater" service in my services.msc list. Everytime i try to add daupdatersvc.service.exe into services.msc, by using CMD function installutil.exe, it says: Cancelphase success , instance installation processed , installation has failed and was cancelled.

And when i try start daupdatersvc by using net start daupdatersvc in CMD function it says: systemerror 5. , access denied.

So i can't even add daupdatersvc.service.exe into services.smc.
