Am I meant to be able to complete both of these quests?  I've read about a bug that sometimes happens if I give Voldrik Glavonak the 80 soverigns to fix up Vigils Keep for "Cost of Doing Business", that it won't let the next quest, "What is Built Endures" trigger or be completed properly.  Does anyone have any input on this?  Is there a work-around, or should I just hope for the best that I can get the second quest if I complete the first.

In four playthroughs of Awakening I've never had a problem with either quest. Then again, I've never had the Silverite mines bug either, which showcases how lucky I am with Awakening.

Thanks for the reply. The wiki site mentions a bug that keeps the second quest from triggering, and so I was curious. Ah well, I'll hand over the 80 soverigns and hope for the best.

I read the wiki and it does say that. I'm surprised because I never got that bug.

I should mention that I only play Awakening with Orlesian wardens. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

I play on a ps3 and I've played as imported PC and as orlesian PC, with about 15 or more run throughs of awakenings, and I've always been able to upgrade vigils keep. I pay the 80 sov, I give him his guards and I find him the granite. I haven't had any bugs so far with it.
