Isn't it ironic that Shepard can berate Mordin for his genophage work, basically call him a monster, and then quote Mordin when confronting his student who is trying to cure the genophage?

"But the genophage only effects sterility, it doesn't actually kill." Shepard to Maelon when he says the blood of millions is on his hands.(Paraphrased)

Completely, agree with you when Shepard said that it totally just threw me off. Posted Image

Isn't it ironic that Legion wants humans to "follow their own path" while he wears a piece of Shepard's armor?

Isn't it ironic to recieve the council's support but yet not be publically acknowledged as being alive?

Isn't it ironic that the only people who will help Shepard are (to use the term liberally) terrorists?

Isn't it funny, that situations like the "vanishing/threatened colonies" are one of the reasons Anderson gives in ME1 as to why it's a good idea to join the Council. After all, "we'll then have the support of the mighty Citadel fleet", and won't have to "jump through hoops" to get the support of the Council?

Of what use was the "mighty Citadel fleet" in ME2, when hundreds of thousands of humans vanished without a trace? Of what good was the Council, except some random insults toward Shepard?

Isn't it ironic that the ugliest alien species is also the meanest (Batarians) while the best looking (Asari) are said to be the wise, benevolent peacekeepers?

Oh wait, it happens all the time. =]

The batarians are angry because they were called "four-eyes" in elementary school

Batarians are "mean" cause the council were dicks towards them in favor of us (humanity)

There was also the whole "slavery (and we Batarians don't care whom we enslave) is part of our caste system" thing.

It's just something that's been part of their civilzation for who knows how long. It doesn't make them any more or less mean than any other race, it makes them different. And before we start the mandatory discussion about slavery, that's social values and opinion.

Look at that girl from Mindoir and tell me that it's just social values and opinion.

Isn't it ironic that Klendagon (merely a backdrop above a moon map in ME1) had a clearly visible scar from a mass effect weapon but when it became a plot point in ME2 the scar is no where to be seen?

Slavery is used because of the labor it provides, not malice.

The individual subjected to slavery is besides the point. There will always be individuals of every race who are different. Or would you say that every human is like TIM, every salarian is like mordin and every turian like Saren?
Yes, these people were dicks, but they don't represent batarians on a whole.

Batarians stage raids on human colonies, kidnap torture rape and enslave women and children.

But it's okay!

It's just a cultural difference!

I didn't say I condone it nor did I say those actions aren't bad. But slavery on a whole does not = evil neither does the action of individuals represent a whole race. Unless you'd like to argue that these were government led raids?

Are the alliance also responsible for all the humans doing who knows out in the terminus systems?

I just thought of a potential one:

Isn't it ironic that in stopping Kolyat that Shepard's saving a politician who's campaign probably includes revoking his/her Spectre status?

As for being "on topic" heres some food for thought: Given the innevitable collision between the Andromedae and Milky Way galaxies, isnt it ironic that the Reapers may truly be the "salvation" of humanity as we know it?

That's on such a ridiculous time scale it's not even remotly relevant.

It's okay, Alanis Morisette destroyed the proper meaning of the word years ago.

Not sure if this is ironic. Maybe it belongs in the "Really Bad Moments (It's driving me nuts)" thread...

The first time you talk to Bailey you can have him either reinstate Shepard's "alive" status, or set the C-Sec systems to ignore him... Yet in either case the advertisement stands call Shepard by name.

Why couldn't BioWare swich it to "citizen" or something is beyond me.

The instant I had Bailey list me as dead, I walked over to Avina and she immediately called me by name.
