Such as Fighters D10 HP, Warlock's Will save and Fighter's Fortitude save, Fighter's BAB, armor, shield and weapon proficancy, bonus fighter feats yet a Warlock's invocations/class feats at level up? As well as combining the skills each class can use?

Is it possible for somebody to script a Fighter/Warlock combination class? A class which takes the best aspects of each class and melds it into one?

Yes. You want to make a copy of classes.2da, and edit the warlock entry in classes.2da of your override folder.

Why would I want to override Warlock if I want a completely new base class slot?

Becasue unless you want to re-code the level-up system your new class won't get the Warlock spell progression

This would be better placed in the custom content forum, just so you know, but never mind.
What kamalpoe is suggesting is changing the base Warlock class to be more like the Fighter. Another option is to add a new class, but as Arrabal said, it won't get the Warlock spells - UNLESS you make a new Prestige class with Warlock spell progression (i.e. like an Eldritch Knight for the Warlock). So a player would have to take some levels of Warlock (and possibly (an)other class(es), depending on what you chose to set the requirements as) first, but would then get access to this new class, which would allow them to broaden into melee combat as well.

Why not just do this as a dual class Fighter/Warlock? Then you wouldn't have to change a thing.

That's not going to be as powerful (read: overpowered ;-) ) as a Warlock with a Fighter's toughness.
