this morning while playing the computer crashed - to get it to work again I had to reinstall the ASUS and Nvidia drivers. The crash just goes right to desk top(the crash now when I try to play).Dateranoth wrote...

I am having a similar problem - except my game worked well until today, now it crashes after I hit play. Talked to the chat people, followed all their suggestions, reinstalled the game, defrag'd the computer... and it still does not work. dxdiag follows:
Has your computer recently installed any updates? Have you changed anything? Does the crash give any error messages?
Game crashing every time right after character creation. Never been able to play it.

So you had a massive crash while playing DAO that made you have to reinstall asus and nvidia drivers? Or was it a different game that crashed? You had to reinstall the drivers just to use the computer? What did it do exactly?

Note the thing that worked to getting my computer to work was I took a ride downtown to do an errand. I came home after about an hour away and my computer started right up.
Sounds like a pretty major crash. I'd try uninstalling and then reinstalling the video drivers, and would recommend running checkdisk and memtest http://www.memtest.org/
Also would be a good idea to check the temperature of your hardware.
