Is there any way to rebind the number keys somewhere else? Hitting the numbers from 6 and onwards is basically impossible without moving your hand complete away from wasd so there's basically have 5 proper customizable hotkeys in the game which is just horrible. External software solutions etc are welcome as well, thanks.

In your C:\\Users\\*you*\\Documents\\Neverwinter Nights 2 folder you have a file called nwn2player.ini.
All your key bindings are in there. It lists them as "Action56=51; Zoom in full," for example. Many are not shown - I don't have Actions01 - 36, for example.
You could experiment....

No luck there. I tried making new rows for 1-36 and bound them to "T", nothing changed on the hotbar. Unless it requires that text at the end like the "Zoom in full", which seems questionable, then I'm guessing that ini only lets you change the stuff you can already change in game.
