Not really - the Warden might be back in a future game, and in any case, I'm perfectly fine with a new protagonist, so I'm in the okay with it/happy camp.

*tries hard to ignore the grammar issues that she's seeing* I just got done blocking two manuscripts, so I'm in still book-designer mode atm - CAN'T HELP IT!!!!! :P

I am pretty disappointed but I am not going to cry about it. I am sure Bioware will make DA2 good.(even if it is not as good as DA)

I'm not upset. In fact, I never expected to see my Warden again as a protagonist. I suppose they could bring him/her back, but they would have to do some weird sort of amnesia thing or something or else they would have to explain how a level 1 character defeated the Archdemon. The problem is, the Warden is tainted so we know that his/her years are numbered, not to mention that many people probably sacrificed their Warden. Reoccurring characters are ok in a game like Tomb Raider, but the world is so big in DA that I think it would feel like a waste to narrowly confine it to one character. They can tell better stories if they use new material each time because they can alter the circumstances surrounding the character.

I personally, definitely, don't want a "recurring character" type to Dragon Age. We have enough games out their overly focused on 1 specific character. If you have different characters for each iteration, I think it allows much more freedom to talk about the world.

Well, for me it's not only the warden. For me it's also the other characters, and unfinished storys that deserves more than a short conversation or a cameo role. The DLC:s don't cover this for me, and I doubt that DA2 will do this, since it seems that it will be more action like ME (with conversation, but not as much as DAO)

Wait, how do you know there's not as much conversation as in DA:O? Have you gotten a look at the dialogue while we weren't looking? Because I distinctly remember reading that they've completely blown the word budget. And considering that DA2 is going to be shorter than DA:O, that's got to be a lot of talking.

I don't see where your opinions are coming from. I mean, I accept that everyone has them and that they often differ from mine, but you do seem to be pulling things out of the air.

I have heard this, but I said SEEMS, not that I'm sure.

But still I think it won't cover what I talked about. And for the 10 000 time, I'm sure DA2 will be good, but I, yes I feel that too many storys from DAO are untold and not finished. And I don't like unfished business, that's it! Posted Image

arathor_87 i understand what you are saying completely and i agree but give bw a lil time to let the story unfold. Im sure some of the questions will be answered in DA2. If not refer to Bryy_Miller's post

No I too am disappointed in your grammer.

On topic: not really, while i loved my warden i'm fine for him to be restricted to a hopeful cameo in DA2.

Yes, finally thank you. And I don't cry about it. I just think that the Witch Hunt was a terrible ending for my Warden and DAO! : )

It was a joke poking fun of a question with a very incredibly obvious answer.

Thank the lord someone else found the subject hilarious.

And no, OP, you aren't the only one disamprontered, but there are so many of us that are excited for a little innovation that you're teams grumbles are drowned out.  I respect your opinion, I can even see where you're coming from, but my man!  This could rule.  Embrace it.  B)

Again my mind goes back automatically to BG. And I remember what I posted back then on the Bioware forums that it was amazing how my PC started with nothing and almost died from a wolf at the beggining of the game only to reach god like powers in ToB going through a fantastic, consistent story, with his companions.
But apparently that's not the way Bioware wants to handle DA. It became apparent in Awakening. I've decided that instead of complaining I'll play along as long as some sense of continuity and respect to our former choices is held because I really like DAO.

Just because they aren't using the Warden for the sequel does not mean his/hers story is neccesarily ended.

Really? I mean the Witch Hunt DLC totally says something different.

Look at your comment. Back to mine. Back to yours, NOW BACK TO
MINE. Sadly, it isn't mine. But if you stopped trolling and started
posting legitimate comments, it could LOOK like mine. Look down, back up,
where are you? You're scrolling through comments, finding the ones
that your comment could look like. Back at mine, what is it? It's a
highly effective troll-counter. Look again, MY COMMENT IS NOW
DIAMONDS.
Anything is possible when you think before you post. I'm on a computer. (da da da da da da)

Seriously though. I am a bit sad that my Warden's story is supposedly pretty much over, but as it has been said many times over: Dragon Age is a story about Thedas, not a certain individual. And like others have said, maybe it's not the end of our Grey Warden just yet, it could continue in a certain way in DA2! We can scream and cry about it, but we can't change it, so just accept it.^_^

Disappointed? Nope. I'm tired of my Warden. I'm ready for something new in that regard. I admit I am wary of DA2, nothing presented so far has really peaked my interest, but I will definitely rent the game and I do hope that my wariness proves unfounded.

I'm not sure how it's going to work but signs point to yes. One of Nate's banters when he's in your active party in Awakening is about how all the walking around reminds him of the year he spent in Kirkwall so it sounds like a hint he's going to be a companion at least part of the time. Plus Mike pretty much confirmed Nate's appearance though he did not specify whether he would be a companion or not.

I'm very dissapointed. I felt that the Grey Warden saga just started and should be it's own trilogy. Losing Duncan was an epic tragedy. Beyond that I would of loved to continue playing my character.

Pretty sure David Gaider said so in one of the live chats. "Shorter than Origins, longer than Awakening." Individuals' experiences may vary, of course, but one can assume this is based on the average user's play time.
