This is personally why I hate DA2. No character continuation. I don't want to keep switching main PC.pizoxuat wrote...

I am disappointed, but im sure i'll fall in love with my femhawke. As a seperate game doh, i would still like my Warden to continue on but you cant really top saving the world. Except with more saving the world.
Agree about WH though, not an apt/fitting end to an amazing game

So you are... objecting to my asking a question about the game as it actually is, instead of the game you wish it was? I am confused now.

You're certainly not the only one disappointed. Most have moved on to something else instead and only check in on development once in a while. The forums end up with the cheerleaders that love the new direction shouting down anyone that doesn't agree with them.
from what i've been reading in the forums these last few months it's more the other way around:whistle:

...or people who think that people who might actually like the look of this game are just cheerleaders shouting down anyone who doesn't like the look of it.

Actually I'm one of those people. I only recently started to come onto these forums again 2 days ago, and I'm still disapointed with DA2.

Is it only me who feels this way, and what's your thought about this? And DA2?
Nope, its not, but our opinion doesn't count. Unless DA2 ends up being a total flop (which I doubt). Then they will come back in DA3 with the Warden and brag about how much they listen to their fans.

Nothing wrong with hating a game for any reason you please, but how did you feel about KotOR2, Fallout 2, NWN2, etc.? Having a sequel that accepts your high-level character from the previous game is actually kind of rare.

So play Zelda. Exclusively. Same primary character, and a lot of games in the series to last you a good, long time
Seriously, glibness aside, I got pretty attached to my Warden. She's been one of my favorite characters to play. But her schtick--stopping the darkspawn from violating Ferelden--is over. Regardless of the end of Awakening, the darkspawn have retreated. She can do her little wander off into the sunset thing, and I'm ok with that.
I think of it as kind of like getting a D&D character to epic. Well, now what? I can't just have this insanely powerful, well-known, glorious and notorious character going around fixing everyone's problems. That's below her pay grade, and it's boring. Time to step aside and let me roll a shiny new level 1 character for a brand-new story.

Anyway, I think The Witch Hunt was a terrible ending for the Warden (if this is the case). But we will see what the future brings! : )
There I'll agree. I don't know what the deal is, but I've consistently felt that the DLC for Mass Effect 2 has been head and shoulders better than the DLC for Dragon Age. (Not including item, armor, etc. DLC or Shale since she was coded for the original game). Just about the ONLY DLC for DA:O that grabbed my attention was Warden's Keep. Everything else? Decidedly bleeeaaaargh.

I don't understand it either. Hell, they should just be happy they added the option to import.

It's certainly is a lot more like Mass Effect.

Only choices. So... if you import with Anora / Cousland on the throne, you'll have comments like "Hey, did you hear that there's a Cousland on the throne?".

I didn't mean "dead" in a literal sense. The Warden's story is over.

I can almost put money on it. You won't import a US warden first...
