Having problems with the overlord addon, I've completed the first section and conversed with the scientist. However when I get in the hammerhead to transit to the next section I get a black screen and no response whatsoever.
Any Ideas?

I'm having a similar problem my self may be not the same one but it sounds the same, it's the overlord DLC I'm out of the first base after talking to the scientist face to face and I have completed the geothermal plant base when ever I try to enter the base at the crashed geth ship ME2 crashes and I get the windows message "this program has stopped working" etc. I get the hammerhead fly in cut scene to the crashed geth ship and the squad choice and weapon choice screens but as soon as I exit the weapon choice screen the game crashes. Does any one know why this is, or could some one point me in the right direction. I'm going to make a technical support request but these can take day's and I'd like to play the game rather than sit waiting for technical support.

I have the same issue, as soon as you access the hammerhead the screen goes black. Also i found that i didnt have the option to do the hammerhead missions even though its installed! ME2 has been fine but now i wish i never installed the DLC's they are bug ridden than a hobo's sleeping bag!!

No one who has ever commented in this thread has been willing to complete a problem report, and without that, there cannot *BE* any answer.
Preliminary diagnostic information
First, however, what have you learned using the forum's SEARCH tool? Did you check that the stickied threads at the top of the index page didn't cover your problem?
After failing to learn anything substantive that way, since PCs are not *anything* at all like game console systems, it adds another dimension to a question. That may not be news to you, but many noobs come here for help who have no such idea at all. There is literally almost nothing that is truly a "standard" between various branded PCs, making the game developers' jobs very difficult, and requiring that warning labels be attached to game boxes for any games with serious requirements.
Please fill it all in (if you have a problem being able to deal with that request, and are in the Bioware Social Sites' forums, do a search for "Basics" without the quote marks, to get a rundown on Windows' built-in component inventory functions).
Basic Hardware Specification Chart (Empty so far)
Processor Manufacturer: AMD / Intel
Processor Name / Type: Athlon X2 / Pentium D / C2D / dual core / quad, etc.
Processor Speed: ?.? Ghz
Operating System / Service Pack: WindowsXP with SP #?, Win7, Vista ? (Oh, no!)
System RAM: ? ? GBs (MBs, if less than 1024 ? )
Video (GPU) Manufacturer: ATI / Nvidia (only those two are supported, PERIOD, so please answer which of them you have)
Video Card Model: (examples) Radeon HD 5670 / Geforce GT 240
Video Card Driver Version: Catalyst ?.? / Nforce ??.??
. . (please use the numbers, not the word "latest")
Video Card onboard RAM: ? ? ? MBs
Sound Card Manufacturer:
Sound Card Model:
(And this is only for the raw hardware & driver variations. Potential software conflicts are far more likely to be game play problems, and developers cannot test for all possible program loads.)
P. S. Please use every day business style paragraph breaks, punctuation, and spelling.

Same problem - different DLC. Downloaded the Shadow Broker DLC and all was fine and well until I went to catch the cab to Liara's apartment. I see the cab coming down and then, instead of a load screen....black screen. And the announcement that ME2 has stopped working. Have had no problems with the game before but this is the first DLC I'm playing. Not too sure what the prob may be but really really want to get back to it

Maybe something is unstable ? Try scanning your pc for garbahe like malware/trojans/and other s***
also restore 100% default settings in bios (except memory remap feature which has to be enabled for 64bit systems)
if you experience BlackSoD on new drivers try switching to previous when you didnt have this problem.

Not too sure actually. Got fed up so reinstalled it and took completely different companions and it worked. Have no idea but it was AWESOME regardless of my cluelessness

I think it's the squad you take with you, per example in The Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC i was at Liara's apartment and i was examining a prothean relic she had and then the screen goes black, I reloaded and tried again but I had the same error, then I went to a forum that told me to select Miranda and Jacob as my squad (I had Samara and Thane) I tried that and it was fixed!!!
You just have to find the right squad for it. (Total pain in the ass but I think its the only solution)
