Is there any way I can use the toolset without having to figure out all this MS SQL crap?
I've been trying for hours to get this thing up and running, but nothing I do works. I even tried to uninstall everything and start over - I used the cleanup utility, but that still left all the SQL folders in the program files and programs folders. Deleted those and now I can't even use the toolset installer to install Microsoft SQL - says there's an error of some sort and to consult the error log. Which explained NOTHING.
I even used the manual installation explained on the wiki. Why make it so complicated? I just picked up my copy of the game at Walmart - it's not pirated or anything. I'm not using Steam.
Better question, why the heck won't this Microsoft SQL just go away already? Are there parts of it still left on the computer causing the errors? Please help, I've been at this for a better part of the night.
Unable to connect to database....PLEASE help.
