Haven't tried this yet but have you tested level-up after character initialization to make sure you aren't getting double attribute points for each point you spend?

Just tested, everything should be fine in a custom module. (This method is NOT for extensions to existing modules through an add-in.) The module has to be using the custom module_core, and many things won't work if you use duplicate or similar functions.
