I just finished the Shadow Broker DLC and on board the ship there is a investments opportunities screen I "invested" in all the opportunities and it says come back in a day but I have finished the game and I'm unsure how time works in mass effect 2. I've flown around the galaxy a bit but when i returned nothings changed can any one enlighten me as to wether any thing is going to happen or it's just an element to add to the feel of the location? As I say I've no more missions to do and no where new to visit and this just seemed to offer something else to do:) always a problem at the end of a game as good as ME2 where I am left with a craving for more. Thanks

No, you literally return the next day. As in tomorrow... Thursday.. in real life.

That particular part is real time. Among other things.

I have the feeling that I am being set up here but I'll still check tomorrow any way, because now you've caught my curiosity lol.

Lol. It's not a joke, trust me. It does literally take a day for the investments to get done with. They don't give you all that much in the end but it's pretty cool just reading them.

I'd be satisfied with something mass effect based to read the reward is beside the point really I've got nothing to spend it on apart from new fish, the old ones died! I'll see if I have been duped tomorrow lol. Is it an exact 24 hours? or do I just have to wait for midnight and the clocks to change?

Just wait for the date to tick over on your system.  It just checks the date.

Aside from that, if you have any sidequests you haven't done, or anything like that, that also triggers the investment opportunities.

Some people have suggested that changing the system time could accelerate this process. Since this will mess up log keeping (and possibly other things) I would strongly suggest to not do that.

No I don't have any thing left to do at all, I've exhausted everything, that's why I'm so desperate for something, any thing Mass Effect. Scanned every world done all the dlc, I hope bioware have some more dlc coming soon!

Change your computer date to tomorrow if you want proof now.

What are the investments? I played through Lair of the Shadow Broker when it first came out (twice), but I must have missed these. Is it on the Normandy, where you upgrade your equipment or weapons (in Mordin's lab) or somewhere else on the ship?

What do they do? Are they upgrades for the characters/powers, the ship? Sorry, I'd never heard of this until now and can't find any info on the ME wiki.

The investments are on board the shadow brokers ship. VKT62 apparently changing the date can screw things up? And I'll be up later so I'll wait and see

Yes someone suggested it earlier to me but they also said it can mess things up so I'm not so sure about doing it.

Ah, ok.  Weird that I missed these, I thought I pored over every bit of the available area after beating Lair of the Shadow Broker.  I read all the dossiers and everything.  Oh well, looks like I'll be popping in my ME2 for some more Lair tonight.

I have a question. Is Bioware going to come up with like a limitless amount of investments? I mean could you come back each day and invest in four more things?

There are only 10 investments which only occur once each. Some get you more money, other make you lose money.

The investments and the free upgrades (save before clicking on the console and reload until you get all the upgrades) are the main reason why I suggest doing Lair earlier rather than later.
