I emailed the Technical Service people for Mass Effects.
Explained the CD key does not work.
Their response was 'use the CD key to load the game.
I explained again the CD key does not work.
They asked for a whole bunch of documentation that I provided.
I explained yet again that the CD key doesn't work.
Also I sent them the CD key and asked them to discern what the CD key says.
Their response: Use the CD key to load the game.

Their answer and my reply

Nice theory Wish it worked
Mass Effects 2 is there
There is no link for Mass effects One

My responce to their responce

I got a responce from you which I suppose is good. But It was Useless! The link you gave me to register Mass Effects One goes no where. It does not exisit. No where on you page can I find a link to register the first game in the series. maybe this is a new marketing ploy you exclude people from being able to register the first game in ther series. Ergo they cannot resgister the others games in the series. I suppose this is good because it would be exclusive. But it seems to limit the number of people that would buy your product! By the way The CD KEY STILL DOES NOT WORK Oh Yeah I have told you that three tinmes already AND provided you with all the documents you requested.

EA support really is strange. I registered my MoH Airborne on a wrong account, and they couldn't transfer their own game to my other EA classic account registered on the same email adress, so... thanks EA:) Glad it costed me only 0.25 EURO(awesome promotion that I've encountered one day.). And their responses are looking strange as well(just as if they were 12-13 years old, you know what I mean). Never really helped me so far.

Almost all of the clerks who are being paid to pretend to have tech knowledge are just following a set of fixed scripts that tell them what to say in various situations, and the turnover of people is fairly high, so they seldom really understand the responses that the scripts prompt them to make.

They are completely incompetent. I just got out of a chat with them. It was miserable.

Either both you and the EA representative have terrible spelling and grammar, or just you and you are not accurately copy/pasting what they are saying.

If according to their records your CD key works, its either you typing it wrong, you already registered it on another account, etc etc. Its very unlikely any game company will provide you another CD key unless you can provide damning evidence that its their website at fault. Take screenshots, take photos of your game case, and your instruction manual with the CD key clearly on there.
