Hi,
So it's possible to access sound files - but how can I access areas in Awakenings and the DLC's?

It depends: http://social.biowar...s_in_your_mods' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>Using DLC areas in mods will help you if you just want to use the areas in a stand-alone mod. It's a bit harder if you want to add content to the DLC, but it can be done.

So I have access to the areas but for some reason in the Amaranthine areas the structures like, building walls, stairs, docks etc are missing.

Any suggestions?

From my own experience with this, you need the model/mesh/texture/etc. files in your mod's folder. You can transfer the files manually from the Awakening folder to your mod's folder OR you can download a mod like Awakening in the OC that will create a new mod with those files. I use Awakening in the OC. It works for me, but it won't work for people without Awakening.

Thanks for answering but I'm still confused. I do have Awakening and I can access it in Other Campaigns. How would I go about transferring the files manually?
Thanks for the help!

If you or only people with Awakening are going to be the only ones using your mod, Awakening in the OC will be your best bet because you won't have to worry about the copied files interfering with Awakening. But you will have to use the manual method if you don't have Awakening...
Short version:
Go to C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core_ep1\\data and copy and paste the erf files into your mod's core\\data folder.
Then go to C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core_ep1\\textures and copy and paste everything in there into your mod's core\\textures folder.
It's overkill, but it should get the job done. If you ever plan to release your mod to the public, you will want to extract only the resources you used from those files. I'm not sure how Bioware feels about releasing those resources to the public.
