Please let us slap our companions. (Kicking or headbutt acceptable)

Frankly it is a bit mind-boggling that Alistair lasted as long in my party as he did.

Isn't the whole "rivalry" path built pretty much on that?Upsettingshorts wrote...
Personally I'd be happy with some kind of way to tell them to quit their ****ing. Even if it had no practical effect - it might even make the issue worse.
But it'd be cathartic.

Just to let them know we have a disapproval rating too.
If they don't get to slap you, you don't get to slap them. You're not their mother.
But we are the leader of the group.
They are not on equal footing with me.
People in DAO said way too many stupid things and even questioned direct orders...
I dont want to be a dick about it. But I do want to be a dick to stupid / selfish/ short sited companions (ie: morrigan and Sten)
*ducks shoe*
Please? this wouldnt be that hard to implement.
Let it be like in ME2 (did I really just say that) Where you can interrupt them with an action sequence.
Or even just a unacted option. You get to sellect something like *slaps morrigan*.
You know.... something like that....
Or a spartan kick.
Yaaaaaa. I would really like that.
EDIT:
This literally got me to LOL in the middle of the library.Reinoc wrote...
Best. Mod. Ever.
I play on the 360. but this makes me want to get da2 for the PC just so someone could mod this in case they made another character who wants to put you down every time you do something nice.

Face it people. If Bioware didn't allow you to slap Isolde in DA:O, who richly deserves several good hard slaps, they have a thing against slapping in general and it ain't gonna happen.
You could have her kill herself in a bloody ritual, I thought that WHO IS THIS MAN, TEAGAN?!

In most cases you're only a leader because they choose to ask to come along, though. Start getting abusive and see how long that goodwill is going to last.Zenjamin wrote...

Not to mention leadership is hardly carte blanche to beat up people. Or at least don't be surprised if some choose to overlook your rank if you try that.

You are their leader because they follow you willingly.
There's already a rivalry path in every DA2's follower relationship that allows you to argue with them. I've no interest in indulging childish player power trips beyond that.

I distinctly remember slapping her unconscious with an armored fist.
(Given the circumstances, that was not nearly as enjoyable as it may sound btw)

The only occasions it might have actually beeen tempting to use such an option in DA:O were down to writing oversights, rather than actually being the fault of the characters.
I thought it was the game mechanic that rewarded the player for enthusiastically agreeing with whoever they were talking to - except Sten, which is why I think Sten is awesome.

I'm mostly thinking of when Wynne effectively asks the CE if they're considering killing their father for a minor stat boost.
edit: Sten is indeed awesome

I will be satisfied with that.
Though I think there are situations where it is immoral not to slap an immoral person.
If im a seargent in the army, and one of my privates suggests torturing a little boy in the courtyard, I would do more then just slap him.
Sometimes, rightious anger is anything but childish.

I don't know. I mean in ME I punched the reporter and felt so bad *I didn't expect it*. Then I got over it. Then Lance Henrikson told me I was bad and I felt worse
I don't want Mr. Henrikson scolding me again.
