Whoa, I just noticed that the Signature Edition isn't even available in the Netherlands. So even if Bioware managed to seduce me I wouldn't be able to get it.

Well, Europe is kinda big, so which version are you looking for? amazon.de has it available for pre-order here. Should be up on all other amazon sites by now or coming in the next few hours/days.

I'm thinking Bioware's lack of comments on a CE is all the confirmation for one that we're going to get at the moment. If there wasn't going to be one, wouldn't they have just come out and said so already so that everyone waiting around for the CE would go spend their money on the Signature edition already? At least that's my train of thought. I could be completely wrong.

I don't think so, it looks like this is all she wrote for the 'collectors edition'.

Unless...they bring out the 'Kirkwall Royalty Edition', or 'Flemeths Grimoire Edition' or something.
I'm still hopeful, but this announcement has certainly made a nice dent in my hopes.

Still, I think it's nice to provide some extras to early pre-orders.  For a long time I ordered games months in advance, only to find out if I waited a month after release I could have got them 30 bucks cheaper and lost nothing but a month of debate on the forums.

What a low blow this is. We have no info what other editions may be...Is this the only CE there will be? The other just plain DA2 slimcase? I want to know are there gonna be only two editions?



And is the additional character ONLY available through this purchase (mean, no future dlc including this)? If there will be, the marketing lies then! Almost an extortion...

I think all this extra game content is probably gonna be available as DLC at the day of release or something for those who bought the standard edition.

Hey everyone! Only have one question, and I'm sorry if it has already been posted: is this Signature/Collector's Edition already available for pre-ordering in all the EU Countries listed in the FAQs?

I'm asking 'cause I've tried clicking on the Pre-order button, but it only shows a trio of retailers under a big "North Armerica" title. Is that your way to say: "patience, young Padawan... EU countries are coming soon..." ?

I'll pre-order it as soon as it's available through amazon.co.uk - hopefully I'll be able to do that even though I live in Ireland (not one of the countries listed), since it's a UK retailer that ships to Ireland. Amazon's pre-order guarantee means that, whatever the cheapest price is between now and release date (if it goes down and up a bit) is the price I pay, so there's no reason not to.



As for a possible eventual "ultimate edition," I'm not gonna put off my playthrough of DA2 by nearly a year just so I can get more DLC for free. I honestly found DA:O's DLC a bit of a mixed bag, but the game itself is solid gold. I want to be playing it on release day, ideally. If I get free stuff, though, that's a bonus! (I think Shale was the best of the non-expansion DLC for DA:O, so if the bonus character for DA2 is as good then I'll be very happy.)
