The weapons will probably be exclusive to this edition and wont be sold in the bioware store.

The "bonus playable character and missions" will probably work like shale did, and can be bought at the bioware store.

Ooh, interesting. I know I'll be getting that. I can't remember the last time anything free was bad...well besides that hot dog in the trash...moving on!



I may be behind the loop on information, but does anyone know if there was confirmation yet in regards to saves being cross-platform? I bought the PC version of DA:O and will most likely get the 360 version of DA 2 (Crazy, I know). I kind of want to bring my data over, even though I'll probably get the Ultimate Edition of DA on the 360 just to experience that either way. I guess which signature version I get hinges on if this is final or not.

I'm quite excited to see who this mystery character is and an included soundtrack is always a plus for me. I'm a big fan of Zur's music and I'm sure he won't disappoint this time around, especially if the game trailer music is any indication.

I'm a little disappointed that there won't be a real CE. I'm a sucker for those kind of things. Favorite is still my Fallout 3 lunchbox. Can't complain if I pre-order the PC version at amazon for 49.95, and it gets bumped up to the signature edition. Just noticed the PC pre-order is $59.95 at the EA store.

If they included this character with every new copy like they did with Shale, that wouldn't be as big of a deal- but its kind of "meh" to limit this and limit the Signature/Collector's edition to preorder only.



And what exactly does it mean on the site when it says "Additional Downloadable Items"? Is there more stuff beyond the weapons and character shown that will be included with this?

Hm. I think I'll wait until Jan. to preorder, just in case more info comes up. I have a hard time believing that a whole extra character will only ever be available to those who buy the Signature Edition.

All the bonuses are in digital form there's no point in buying the disc version, unless you want the box, which is not my case.

Re Steam you really need to read the thread. They are working on it and will inform us when they get the info. I highly doubt Steam will be excluded.

Party members should be part of the game, not cut as DLC or pre order bonusus's. It's cheap, lame and stupid. Not evryone has the internet, might live in an area that does not get this edition and can't buy the game used. They just missed out on content that should be part of the game. That's the problem.

Well, when they advertised for the Collector's Edition of Origins they showed Shale as one of the things that came with it. I'm suspecting this is the same thing. You're getting the character no matter what if you buy new.

While I certainly appreciate the free upgrade to CE, I would certainly be willing to pay a little more for a steelbook case with a cloth map and other goodies in it.

Heck, the simple fact that Bio is releasing yet another game with download content that is already finished and calling it a bonus leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Would rather have credits towards future download content in the CE and have the already done stuff put in the regular version. :|

They want as much pre-oders as early as possible. Which makes me wonder, if they fear for reviews and comments about the game shortly before and after release.

If everyone who pre-orders before the deadline automatically gets upgraded to Signature Edition, should Amazon.de be selling the PC Signature Edition specifically, for 54.99€, when Amazon.co.uk has the normal pre-order going for the equivalent of 34€?

That's exactly what I'm suspecting. That the character is a "new purchase" extra and not a "signature edition" extra.
