Hey don't feel bad, so far none of the Aussie retailers even mention the Signature Edition.

I'd made the preorder at play.com but it does not show the Dragon Age 2 Signature Edition, just normal edition. At first the only European retailer shown was play.com and now has been removed.

I actually really like the dark box art, it'll juxtapose nicely with my Origins box.

Game.co.uk has the Signature Edition for £10 more than the standard, haha, how many other retailers will try and pull that?

Yeah, I also noticed that they were charging extra for it.  In addition, they have a nasty habit of not giving you the pre-order freebies, too - I still order from them if nobody else has something I want, but it's an unfortunate fact of life that I expect to be short-changed.

I'd order it from Amazon instead, but they have nothing to say about the upgrade.

Spoke to my local independent games shop he's going to try and get this deal they're on-line as well and deliver once he confirms I'll post a link to him.

it is available on D2D right now.  Don't know why it wouldn't show up on Steam soon.

Only on the us version of the site though. Nothing on the uk and eu versions,

Still waiting for steam to add it.

I actually found a cheap Finnish pre-order option, so I don't have to order from abroad this time. Verkkokauppa.com offers the Signature Edition pre-order for 36.40EUR (incl. shipping & handling). I'll even get launch day delivery, which is more than Amazon.co.uk would offer for the same price.

Dragon Age II SE Owners group is now open for business! To qualify for membership: pre-order Dragon Age II from a retailer participating in the Signature Edition campaign before January 11th 2011.

for what it's worth I just checked the german Amazon.de and they have listed both the standard and the signature edition, but they, too, charge extra for the signature edition
:crying:
whatever happened to 'no extra cost'?
wasn't amazon among the original retailers who participated in this (at least for north america)...

are there any news yet, if there will be a multi language edition as with Mass Effect 2?

Some of the UK pre-order sites say that the game will come in a "Premium Packaging (silver foil will be used)"

Anybody else noticed this? or maybe its just a hiccup on their end.

It seems that BioWare's grand gesture has been stomped on by the retailers, at least in the UK..............
Thanks for the info, Chris, I was waiting for a CE to be announced before pre-ordering but it seems that it is just going to cost more regardless of BioWare's intent! <_<:(

Does the NA EA Store ship abroad? I might be willing to get it from a more direct source than through a game retailer like EB Games. So far the AU EA Store isn't showing the SE and it sounds like the EU one isn't either.

Doh as usual no direct AU retailer and the local EB games here sucks to order anything as they never have a clue. I'm with leonia, I would be fine with ordering direct from the AU EA store if they list it.

great, now also the german amazon has a different price for the normal and the signature edition of dragon age 2 (difference about 8,09 EUR approx $ 11,31). i thought the signature edition is a 'thank you' to the fans and should costs exactly the same as the normal edition.

I think that I will wait with pre-ordering for late december... I don't like the fact, that some retailers in UK are charging extra for Signature Edition... I don't want to buy this game in Poland, as for there were some problems with some DLC's and they weren't supported in my country. And I'm still waiting for a gameplay footage.

Seems like there's an awful lot of sleight of hand going on with the retailers.  Of course they'll claim that they're not actually overcharging for the SE, they're just discounting the normal edition from the RRP, in spite of the fact that nobody ever charges the full RRP for it anyway.

Shame really, it was a nice idea by Bioware but they can't really control what the stores do, and it seems they just couldn't resist the opportunity to do some price-gouging.

Oh yeah, I also noticed the "silver foil packaging" thing: if it's not a typo, it's a bit... y'know.  "Ooh shiny" at its most literal and underwhelming!
