I hope so. Seeing as gamersgate(for all regions) and d2d(US only) and Impulse(US only) has it up it should come to steam.

I am holding out for now since I prefer steam but if it doesn't come before 11 Jan I will go with gamersgate.

Hope you have more luck than the customers of amazon.de. Amazon.de has just updated their product page admitting that the SE is supposed to cost the same as the normal edition but that they still charge more for it . Really I think it is best to look for another retailer considering that there are still months until the pre order offer expires.

So i asked a guy at EB today about this deal and he had no idea what it was about. He also said that generally EA products ship for the first while only as collector's editions, and then after a certain period of time the normal ones start shipping. He was basing this off of Medal of Honour, but it was enough to sway me away from pre-ordering for awhile.



I'll wait for awhile and then check again later, but has anyone else experienced something like this when dealing with an actual retailer (not the Amazon.uk case)?

Well, there's a downloadable soundtrack. It's not physical but at least still something of use for outside of the game.

That seems to be the case. That's why I will be going for the digital version as opposed to the physical version.

Everything I've seen from BioWare says "just digital swag this time around".

But I don't have any special knowledge, only what I learn from reading lots of forum posts and other internet-released news.

I just pre-ordered the digital download through EA's site. Can't wait 'til March 8th... I hope the release date doesn't change again... well at least not pushed back... if they want to release it earlier you won't get any complaints from this DAO fan.

I've been a member of the forums for quite a while and a fan of Bioware for a lot longer. I've pretty much flitted about here in lurk mode, but now I'm coming out of the woodwork now to make a humble request: please release this in India too.

I consider myself a loyal fan of Dragon Age - I've bought most of the DLCs, I *still* can't stop babbling about the game to anyone who'll listen - and I'm sure I'm not the only one from India, and the rest of Asia for that matter, who'd be salivating at the thought of getting my hands on this. Please don't deprive us!

To help your decision along, I'm enclosing herewith a few pictures of bunnies so incredibly cute, they will cause your brains to melt into a puddle on the floor and you will be rendered powerless to resist my request. Go on. Look into their eyes and tell them no.

Ummmm... this is th DA2  forum, so it would be impossible for you to have any Characters or Saves yet.  (Unless...

Any way, assuming you meant  this to go to the DA:Origins  Tech Support Forum...

Make a copy of THIS folder:
"\\[user's documents]\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Characters"
It contains all of your characters and saved games. 
 
It DOES NOT CONTAIN your DLC and mods, so you'd have to do that seperately.

I would like to if BioWare added www.videogamesplus.ca to their list for the Sig edition. I have had a problem, and this site fully fixed it. I only have Amex and Diners, and all those UK sites only accept Visa, MasterCard and Maestro, I could pre-order from Gamestop, but they charge $60 for shipping... lol. This site accepts Amex, has low shipping cost and mails to every country.

The big difference between Gamestation/Game and Amazon is that Gamestation/Game offer free delivery guaranteed for the day of release, where Amazon charge you for that service (they have a pretty high success rate getting it to you on time with the free delivery, but they occasionally fail) Just something to think about unless they drop the price by more than the delivery cost of guaranteed delivery, I will stick with Gamestation  (that said Amazon have the collector's edition of Fable 3 a fair bit cheaper than Gamestation with the delivery included..... )
