If I could pay 20 euro's extra for the collection edition I would. It really sucks to not have a credit card

Hi,I just preordered this game from the local Gamestop.But...there was three edition of the game to order!

The one at 65 €

The one at 70 €

The one at 80€

I preordered the second one, because the price was the same of the Signature one,but they can't give me any informations about the signature.

I'm from Italya,btw.

Does anyone know a way to order the signature edition without a credit card? (I live in the Neterlands)

I'll would really like to have the signature edition, but can't find a way to buy it without a credit card (or an german/uk bank acount wich I don't have either)

You can pre-order the Signature Edition on amazon.com (or amazon.co.uk; pick whatever you like) without needing a credit card (you can pay by bank transfer).

amazon.com supports shipping to (almost) every country in Europe, Portugal included.

I guess you don't live in the Netherlands. If I try to pay with a debit card on amazon.co.uk it asks a card number. I do have a card number, but that number doesn't work. If its just me and I'm doing something wrong I would like to know, but I think amazon doesn't work.

Does anyone know a site that accepts paypall? I do have a paypall account that does work with my bank account.

ShopTo accepts PayPall, but pre-order of the Signature Edition is currently unavailable.

Er... I do...

I searched the site to see which payment methods they have available, and they claim to accept payments through bank accounts...
I think I see where I went wrong: they don't support international wire transfers. Which means bank transfers aren't possible...

PayPal = ScamPal. Beware.

For those seeking a European retailer that accepts PayPal I will hesitantly suggest you have a look at www.gameseek.co.uk/

Looking at their site there will be shipping costs (£3.99 to European countries), but they make no mention of the Signature Edition. Whether that's because it's automatically upgraded I do not know, but I would suggest you check the site out.

I must add that I've never bought from them before so I don't know what their service is like.

EDIT: I've never had a problem with PayPal as a shopper myself over all the years. Lucky I guess. I have had problems with SagePay, a company that verifies a credit card, which charged me twice for one item.

ScamPal freezed my account with no reason, causing me to lose a lot of money. So they scammed me off a lot of euro's. And they were almost asking what kind of food I usually eat on a friday night in the summer when it's raining while sitting on a sofa while watching Discovery Channel.

They'll stab you in the back some day, too.

Aaaanyway, now having found out that there's absolutely NO WAY for European non-creditcard holders to get the Signature Edition, I don't think there's any use for me to stay here.

All these effin stores only support the rich. As if credit cards are better... Pffft.

Bank transfers are MASSIVELY underestimated.

I sent an email to Amazon.co.uk regarding the SE price. Hopefully, if enough people contact them about it, they'll make the change.

Otherwise, I'll pre-order DA2 SE from Game or Play. :-)

Thanks to all for the helpful comments and links. If Amazon get back to me, I'll post the reply here.

The big difference between Gamestation/Game and Amazon is that Gamestation/Game offer free delivery guaranteed for the day of release, where Amazon charge you for that service (they have a pretty high success rate getting it to you on time with the free delivery, but they occasionally fail) Just something to think about unless they drop the price by more than the delivery cost of guaranteed delivery, I will stick with Gamestation :) (that said Amazon have the collector's edition of Fable 3 a fair bit cheaper than Gamestation with the delivery included..... )

Game and GameStation only guarantee launch day delivery in the UK though, which is something to keep in mind if you're ordering from the mainland Europe.

If you're responding to my suggestion, then I would suggest emailing and asking them before placing an order to be on the safe side.

As much as I am suspicious of Play.com (I've had a few incidents with them over the years), their website still seems to be the clearest on the Signature Edition: If you preorder you get the Signature Edition (the way it's supposed to work), there's no other edition on offer. The other stores I've seen offer the Signature and standard editions for pre-order, and it's this that's causing the hassle amongst us (along with the discrepancy in price). For peace of mind, at least those of you in Europe and capable of it, I would suggest pre-ordering from Play.com.

Well my comment was specifically aimed at people in the UK :) Since I have no idea about their delivery protocols to other countries :)

Um...credit cards aren't for the rich, heh. Anyway...all companies consider "Debit Cards" the same as credit cards...but they're technically just a bank transfer card that can double up as a credit card when buying things. Those aren't for the rich, anyone can get 'em...even before you're a legal adult (before 18 in most cases, 21 in some other places).

So if you got a debit bank card, use it...should double up as a credit card in terms of buying things, it's what I use. Image IPB

I haven't pre-ordered yet. I'm still hopeful Chris will retract his statement about this being THE collectors edition.

Well, Jenova, I tend to go for Amazon first, since they deliver free to Ireland as well as the UK (assuming you buy over 25 quid's worth of stuff, which is nicely covered by the SE), whereas not all other sites do.  I know that Game.co.uk got an English language copy of ME2 to me in France on release day (I was thinking I'd have to wait up to a week longer than UK customers), however, so that's extremely impressive.  They weren't as quick with Awakening, but then again I wasn't quite as nuttily eager for Awakening as I was for ME2, so I don't really mind.  (I did enjoy Awakening, but my Warden's "canon" story already ended with DA:O, whereas, naturally, much of my Shepard's story had still to be told.)

To those asking what email address I used: sorry, I just used the standard web form to contact Amazon customer service.

Anyway, I'm glad to see that Amazon.co.uk lowered the price.  Accordingly, I have pre-ordered from them.  A swift reward for good behaviour shows retailers what customers value, I think. ;-)
